I find nickname changes usually just cause more bother than they're worth - people go to try PM you can't can't find your name in the userlist etc.

IF you do want your nick changed for some reason, you can email or PM one of the mods, or Avery directly, and we can try organize it for you, but please don't do it unnecessarily.

I agree with you totally, I have been a member of another very small forum since 10th grade and one day I come back and the admin has a different name. Never could get used to it; it just felt weird....

You define what your name means, it does not define you.

I actually like my name. Although it has no relevance to anything in my life whatsoever. It started as a combination of letters for a VERY old password, that nobody could guess. Then I just used it for it's uniqueness. Though it's been shortened many times by other to Bloom, Bloomie, Blimpy, and more recently, Boomineister (or something like that said by Hak :p)

Sometimes, when people just won't wake up, they need a little shake. If this happens to you, you've just been shakenawake. Literally or otherwise.

A few may recall my old avatar was beamshots from my old PL-E and rifle, but so many people have that type of thing, I changed to this color variation of an Alex Grey painting. I think the colors go well, as they mostly match the wavelengths in correct order, though I suppose the pink is out of place

Well, the only reason I hate my username is because I misspelled it  it was supposed to be Bigbrother88. But other then that I use Bigbrother anywhere.

I took my name from a native american diety of fertility, not just in people but life it'self
I also liked the petroglyph drawing of a kookapeli too, looks like I spelt it wrong... ooops

It should be kookopelli, meh, close enough

I like my username. lol Its the first four letters of my last name "Hurtado" hence MrHurt. No I dont like pain nor do I intend on giving it. lol Its simple. Not hard to remember or pronounce. lol Yes I did read the "before you become a member" thread before I became a member. Plus Ive never been one to do stupid or intrusive comments to anyone on any forum. Nothing new to me in that thread anyways, but still checked it out. Rules are rules. Hopefully as I grow here, members will remember my username spot on and my rep will grow :D

I love my username. I go by it IRL sometimes too, and it's my gamertag. Some just call me laser for short :)

It is easy to see my nick Blord in relation with Belgium but that is not the B stand for. :)
It all started with the first person shooter Quake. The B stand for battle as I was quite good in the game and my tactical abilities were unmatched.

NO ONE beats me on Quake.

No one.

Also, I'm not sure the username is as important as the avatar...think about it...

If I was shown 20 avatars , I could put a name to them instantly (regular users of course).

If I was shown 20 usernames, I'm not sure I could match an avatar to them as quickly.

Oh, and on topic..Ped is my name in real life, so, If it ain't broke..

I used to play a lot of time on the UK servers. I can't remember the name of the servers but the ping time was pretty good. I didn't used Blord for long as I switched to Maximus.
Yea, the gladiator in the Roman arena. :D

Which Quake, since there's like 19 of them now?

I should warn you guys, I never played Quake multiplayer PVP but I grew up on games, learn fast, and frequently get banned from COD4 games because of "cheating".

Fun fact, I do not cheat :p

So when do we play?
