Am I really the only one so far that doesn't care if it's Apple or Microsoft? wow

I mean... PC is always better than Mac, no competition here (haha). But Apple has really nice personal gadgets that Microsoft still has to catch up to.

So they have their weaknesses and stengths.

PC all the way.

First of all, in primary school we were forced to use the ugly as funk apple pc's....using that insanely retarded "claris works" word processor....i would really like to use those 'computers' as a boat anchor.
Oh the relief when i discovered Microsoft word & excel on a PC.

secondly, when the Ipod or rather Ipoood came out, i really hated the fact that you could not drag'n'drop music onto them, instead using a flockin stupid program called 'Itunes', to add insult, you cannot transfer music from a different computer other than the one you have sync-ed to originally...it just fueled my rage for Mac.
Thank god i bought a Iriver mp3 player that used drag'n'drop from PC.

So thats what makes me hate apple, my take is, they found something simple and complicated and made you pay for it...

Ive had 1 Toshiba laptop which i bought for $1000 and lasted 4 years, as it was treated as my mungrel computer, it had the power socket dislodged from its mount, usb dismounted from its socket, cracked the back of the screen and it soldiered on.

Now i have 17.3" Asus gaming laptop, quad core with 16gb ram and 2gb video card. it cost me $1400 with windows 7 Pro.
Its dam quick and can process HD video and games so well!

I use PC's all the time at work, programing control systems, something you will never choose a mac to do.

Good job. Irivers are known to have one of the best sound qualities for an mp3 player. Yes I agree Apple was retarded in designing iTunes and how you can't add music from other computers if you have it sync'd with yours.

Yes, but regarding the numbers, I remember that the "old" G5 processor (in PowerMac G5) was the first to exceed 1 Gigaflops (speed of floating-point operations)

All you have to do is click on something then hit the control button.

Default Re: Mac vs PC

Thing is, with a Mac you're technically paying thousands of dollars more just for the Mac brand. The inside stuff is exactly the same and in fact I could buy a much much much better PC computer for the same price as a mac.

And if you flail about saying "viruses and malware and spyware oh my" then it all comes down to the user. If you know how to browse the web, know not to download toolbars, sketchy programs and whatnot then your computer will be just fine. The only time I've had my PC fail was because the power supply crapped out on me, and even then I got a replacement for it; and my computer is about 4 years old now.

Another reason I like PC's better is because you can actually upgrade the stuff inside of it... I'd imagine it's terrible trying to open up an iMac and trying to upgrade the graphics card, memory or CPU.

While on the other hand, I do like Apple's mobile products, like the iPod and the iPhone. There isn't anything that really compares to it from any other company; and they're cheap if you're upgrading so the price isn't an issue at all in regards to the iPhone.

And you can't tell me Mac's aren't riddled with issues either. As soon as one virus becomes mainstream well all of the Macs out there except for a few of them will be toast. Delicious, silicon toast.

NONONONONONO!!!

Mac does have right click guys -.- It just needs to be anabled, even all Apple mice support right klick!!!

Also Mac has the same hardware, but what makes it more expensive is how its build together. All macs are in aluminium housing and nice glas displays, you will never have problems with your housing or heat...

Also you have hardware that is made for your OS... No driver problems to mess arround with... There will be never problems with compatibility (Like on windows I have a issue where my cursor disseapers while gaming... since 1 1/2 years now... No fix from ATI this far... And of course not from Microsoft)

Also Mac IS more secure, not only because there are no Virusus atm, but also because its a Unix System. I also messed arround with some Linux operatingsystems, but I just get stuck with bootcamp Mac - Theres nothing I cant do but I still have all of the advantages of a mac.

Really???? Mac???? MALWARE??????? THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

either that or the idiots who've been claiming that Macs are "immune" to malware ain't quite the geniuses they'd have us think they are..
