There is something about holding a large 19" computer
monitor to my ear just to speak to someone. That
seems odd to me...

C'mon Jerry, you remember the good ole days when everyone was walking around with a "boombox" on their shoulder; a 19" monitor would be nothing compared to one of those monsters! ;)

I use my Cell phone to speak to someone at the other
end and Emergencies. For me the smaller the better.
I use my Computer for all the other stuff..
But that's just me...;)

Hehe, when i use something as large as my laptop i just put it on handsfree, seems pretty partical.

Then again i have used a 7" tablet like a phone (skype) on a few occasions, mostly ones with 'phone battery dead, but wifi available' :D

Wonder if that was a 'Mochia' handset?
hahahaha, that's hilarious Curtis, wish I could rep you again.
Jeff, I never want to see those boomboxs come back ever again...

larger until you don't know if it's a Laptop,
Tablet or Phone....:crackup::crackup::beer:

Oh yeah... on sight that keeps amazing me is people that use ipads like smartphones to take pictures. Really weird do see a group of people all pointing a big tablet at some building.

I agree, you see more and more people at events, holding up their ipads and tablets to get a picture, without realizing that nobody behind them can see anything that's going on while they're being so inconsiderate.
You see this a lot at kids school events like concerts and plays, where parents just have to get photos or video of little Johnny! :D

I've seen a lot of it around asia, mostly with tourists that are from the region (japanese, chinese, korean).

I'ts really odd when you just visit a temple and see a group like that standing outside fresh of their touringcar.

I expect people to take photos in such places, some with phones, some with compacts, and even a few with dslrs and such, but the ones with ipads really stand out, probably also because these tend to be group travellers so they come by the busload rather than by the couple.

Well I'm satisfied with the outcome of this Poll.
looks like almost a 50/50 split between iOS Users
and Android Users with Android just ahead by a
nose.
Thanks to all that took the time to vote and
comment...

Results are a bit surprising, but not a huge disparity from what the general market share is between android and ios.

Apple lost me due to it's restrictions in the past, and due to it being led by a complete pathological egomaniac @$$hole, but I have to admit both IOS, and Apple have come a long way since, and they do offer an easier to use OS.
