I'd still post and donate.

EDIT: And buy stuff.

Voted "would be dissatisfied and use LPF less" but the latter only because I think the forum is stagnating anyway. This would just be another nail in the coffin.

For the most part it seems to have served it's intended purpose well, without it we'd still have such wonderful members here.

Like it or not, the system forced issues to the forefront much faster, and a lack of it will just mean more locked and deleted threads.

I voted dissatisfied but would still use LPF just the same. I like the reputation system, although I will admit I put waaaay to much emphasis on it at times, but again a system without it might be good.

I appreciate you asking the members of this forum how we would like the community to work Avery :)

I didn't vote yet but I know I would be dissatisfied Members rep gives me an idea of knowledge, intentions, how others see them, willingness to help and if they are "reputable" I enjoy seeing new members climb. Long story short I guess I don't know if the same or less. I do know I love giving them as an ultimate thanks to some great members here.

I feel that the reputation system has merit and should be reinstated at 5 or 10 per day and a 2 day turn around. Thanks :)

I'd be satisfied with it being removed. While it does help in some situations, this is no where near enough IMO to justify the constant drama and arguments that have arisen from it over the years.

Voted dissatisfied by use lpf the same.

It serves a purpose that is hard to accomplish through other means, I.E. touched on this and I agree. Yeah, it is the subject of drama from time to time, but it helps clean up the member base a bit since in a way it prevents problem people from blending in. That's a valuable tool in my book.

Is there any alternatives.
On a gaming forum i was a member of back in middle school there was a rep system that was a + or - 1 point system.
No matter how much rep you have you only give a point. It seemed very balanced and fair.

all the gripe and drama I hear is about how this system is unbalanced It would be nice to try something else before scrapping rep all together.

There are only two variables that can be controlled;

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
This sets how many unique members that a forum user will be able to rate in any 24 hour period. Administrators can rate as many people as they wish.

Reputation User Spread
This setting dictates how many unique members that a user must rate before they are able to rate the same member twice. The goal of this setting is to stop a member from either artificially bumping or dropping a user by repeatedly rating their posts."

Those numbers used to be at 10 and 20, and are currently at 5 and 50.
