How does this video make you feel?

I thinks it's pretty funny and quite sad at the same time. First, I never thought President Bush had the moves. Second I find it ironic the reporter throwing the shoe was upset at the number of Iraqis killed by the U.S., a number far less than their former leader and leading to a chance for him to actually practice journalism since he'd be in jail or dead for reporting anything critical about Saddam Hussein. Whether the U.S. should have gone to war in Iraq is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is the U.S. is there now. Honestly, I have no hope for Iraq. As soon as the U.S. pulls out there will be a coup and the country will fall back into totalitarianism. The people love it since they know no other way. Frankly, we are aiding the wrong people. The only group of people who actually fought for their freedom, who fought along side special operations forces, who wanted a release from tyranny was the Kurds. The creation of Kurdistan in the north including the northern oil fields would have been a more logical solution. It would have left the south to do what it has always done, kill each other over family honor, perceived injustices, and a host of other "eye for an eye" complaints. Unfortunately, the Kurds are a political hot potato as allying with them and creating a country would have created problems with Turkey, a fellow NATO member, as well as every other country in the region. The Kurds have been the red-headed step child for a hundred years now.

What I loved the most, was Teh Internet's speed to create such many animated gifs that spoofed that moment.

I think it's funny as heck, well from watching from the outside. I'm impressed with his reflex speed, and reaction, he was practically smiling on his way back up from his super impressive dodge! Imagine how different it would have been if it hit in directly in the face! ;D I can see it now: No shoes on planes…

I would like to add that there might be some people here who like president bush so we should probably keep the politics neutral. otherwise this page will turn into a war zone. =/
