Lol... that doesn't really make sense. Last time I checked 445nm was very much in the visible spectrum and 1W+ of it is extremely visible. Unless of course you're lugging around an IR laser, but how would you aim it?:thinking:

The IR im using is from the NV goggles :)

Hold Up... so you're walking around with pair of nvg goggles on, carrying an IR laser, and you're worried about people coming up to you?

I must be missing something, because if not I think you may just deserve the LPF Tinfoil Hat Award:tinfoil:

Haha just a NV goggles, no IR laser, i was referring to the IR from the onboard illuminator :)

Haha i dont use the head mount when im walking i just have them in hand and look through em when i want :p

Yeah, I'm starting to think he's trying to figure out which of us DOESN'T carry photon emitters with us at night so that he can attack us! :wtf: Fiddy, not cool! ( ;) )

But on a more serious note, I carry my flashlight around at night and use it too. I'm trying to make the sight of someone walking in the dark with a flashlight seem less suspicious. What kind of world do we live in where if we are in the dark, it is safer to grope around trying to find your way than to use a flashlight for fear of being accosted by the authorities or attacked by paranoid homeowners? If you saw me walking around with a flashlight, you know I don't care if you see me or not. If you saw Fiddy wlking around with nightvision goggles and IR lasers, well, then, you're probably wearing night vision goggles too I guess.

Haha! i dont carry IR lasers lol but your right, you would have to have a set of NV goggles to see me :p

It all comes down to what you feel comfortable with.

I carry around a small flashlight, that's quite bright and has phenomenal throw for it's size.

I also carry around a small 85mW greenie... about 15mW of that is IR:p

Also a keychain, with a 1.25" knife, mini multitool, backup light, handcuff key, and of course keys:p

Additionally my pockets typically contain a cell phone, 2.99" folder, and a tactical pen.

What's funny is I recently bought a pair of super cheap nvg goggles:D

Who knows Fiddy... not all those eyes may be from animals:na:

Haha you know me too well :) I dont drive cause when i walk they are in walking distance (WOW) and the drink n drive thing.

Definitely something I'll be adding to my arsenal of gadgetry:D

What I'm really missing and need, is a very small keychain lighter. My keychain by itself has everything but fire covered for basic situations:p

It's dirt cheap, and very useful once in a blue moon:)

If you find a good keychain lighter let me know. The zippo is reliable, but has some huge drawbacks... size, makes lots of noise, and dries out:undecided:
