Then dont vote. This isnt a "witch" trial he is proven to be a liar do you want him lieing to others. Do you think its ok for ppl to spread misinformation?

Unfortunately, this is how these things are handled at LPF. There is only one mod and the owner. They cannot read everything to watch for members that are causing trouble. The owner himself asked that we do these when a member was becoming problematic. You may not like them, but they are a major tool in a self-moderated forum.

i think he is harmless. i think banning every single member that gets carried away is bad business for avery.

i do agree dave. but in this particular case based on the linked thread i personally feel the kid is harmless.

So far his "contribution" has consisted of:
1) Giving dangerous misinformation which could have led to eye injury to another member.
2) Telling other members that they are stupid for buying more expensive lasers.
3) And now he has posted a review where a lot of the information consists of obvious lies, and afterwards called several people names.

It would be bad business for Avery if he did not ban members like this.

whats the rep system for. I'm not trying to get any body riled up here but are you trying to ban him because you think he is another banned member? or because he is a jerk? if the latter let the rep system do its job. then when enough people neg rep him then tell him to kick rocks.

He is a danger to new members and ppl who dont yet have a general knowlege of lasers and the safety involved IMO.

I try to stay above all the crap here and everywhere. Ignore the crap and it will go away.
If everyone here was working on a build, new diode test or gas laser instead of trying to buy something that you can build yourself, this would pass like a fart in the wind.

i agree mike! thats why i dont come on too much anymore. all my projects turn out like crap so i get frustrated and broke! sorry to thread jack. i am done on this topic.

I've thought this kid was a douche from day one, but I kept my mouth shut because people think I like seeing people get banned or something and flame me in return.

Indeed. In a forum this big, with an open membership system, you have to accept wading through the BS. I think it is worth it.
