You can take the average behaviour of todays teens, but that does not mean each and every one will behave the same.
Here and there there are a couple who are actually up to some good.

Very same fact that he joined this forum and has some expensive lasers is worth something IMHO.
His bad temper is a problem to be solved.
I know what you mean, and I agree to some degree.

However, as I said before, a man learns his whole life.
You think that banning him permanetly from the forum will make him better?
I don't. I will make our lives easier, by not having to put up with him. But what about his?

You will be cutting him off from greatest source of knowledge of such hobby on the internet. How is he supposed to improve?
My two cents, give him a time out, let him rethink his words and actions.

When he comes back, he will improve (provided he reads what I write, realising that I am interested for his own good, not for getting this forum rid of bad members).

Eudaimonium can you try to contact him and ask him what he thinks about this whole topic? After this pls post his answer here and let us see if people want to give him a second chance after this and only a temporary ban.

Its mostly the same. He cant post, or go into a group, or see a full profile, but big deal. All the rest is there. Look, we gave him chances to come clean, and all he did was keep lying. He will lie to you too. If he apologized, and was honest, fine, but he wasn't. I would not trust anything he says.

I wrote my PM in most objective and professional way (as much as I could).

He will realise that we are not joking around.
He has this one chance to justify his actions, if he cares for his own hobby.

BTW, you forgot the Personal Messaging and posting in general, which means that he won't be able to purchase anything at all, though this forum (LASER pro shop, and other). Where do you go without that?

BS is BS. Why should he be allowed to participate in raffles, and GBs? He posts information that can get people hurt, has no respect for people who are trying to help him, uses foul language, and lies his pants off. Sorry, but in book he is not worth the time. If you want to waste your time, have at it. Wont change my mind though. He has not once proved to be anything but an a$$hole. And once an a$$hole, always an a$$hole.

Well, confusions like this are why we are giving him last chance to explain.
I saw his website right now...
Quite a bit of projects in there.
Also, he does own a high power green laser for a while now and still can read this forum.

You must admit, every one has those awfull array of days when all the bad things happen to ya. Maybe he just has some awfull time right now...

I know that I sure did not quite respect some members trying to help me in my earlier days... someone said: Buy flexdrive and I flamed...

But I did not get banned for that. And God, am I thankful.
Maybe he will be too.

However, I have not read every single post made by him, I only followed those that are negative repped (damn his rep page hurts meh eyes).

He posted somewhere that a laser will not damage your eye if it moves fast enough.
Well, it is not the brightest thing to say, but not entirelly false... if you were to move the beam so fast that total exposure time is less than one microsecond... you would not get permanent eye damage in any way.

But no scanner or spyro achieves such speeds, and we are back to the old dillema: ban, or no ban.

What he appears to be doing is actually trying to help people while himself is slightly misinformed (or not nearly enough informed). And you add a bit of 'I'm right you are wrong' to thge mixture (already mentioned), and you get... mrgoogfan

We shall see what he has to say in his defense.

here is where I am at on this fellas (if I may) that boy is not here to learn, he "knows it all" already, proven over and over again in his posts.

He is here to teach, preach and brag..... I have seen nothing to the contrary.

we say yes, he says no.... when you point out that he is wrong, he goes all arrogant.

I have personally watched him take a newbie and start with his "matter of fact" opinionated BS and give someone who has just made their first post BAD information.

Not good for the forum, period.

Yo, I am not active long on this forum nor am I a veteran, but you guys are.
If you say ban, I am not to oppose.

However... I always believed in second chances.
That is why I PM'd him, and started this... mild arguemend

Let's wait for his response.
We will see how he acts up.
