I can only assume that Dinas' activities (which include plagiarism and posting obvious falsehoods concerning LASER SAFETY) have already been reported numerous times, and yet Dinas is still here. His continued presence here makes a mockery of not only this forum as a whole but also the forum's policies on proper behavior. We DO NOT NEED someone purposely posting bad info.. and the worst part is he's got a Sticky in the general section that is so full of bullshit that you could fertilize an entire farm with it. So now we have "officially recognized" disinformation right at the top of the general section where every n00b that comes along can see it.

Enough already I say.. if Admin isn't going to listen to individual reports, perhaps it's time to go back to the old "Ban Poll" method.
 





I am absolutely 100% for permanently banning Dinas and any other profile tied to pickegg.
If they want to advertise here, they can buy a banner ad like any other company. If there is not enough space for another banner ad, the stickied advertising thread should be PURELY advertising, have a clear warning stating that it is a paid advertisement, and not contain a single bit of so-called information. The pickegg spammers should also be banned from making any other posts than that single advertisement.

This is a scientific forum - if you sticky a thread containing information stated as fact, people are going to believe that information is correct. In Dinas' case, most of it is not.

Unless c0ldshadow has to honor some contract he made with Dinas in order
to keep this site running (he can't be THAT desperate, can he?:eek:),
I say: ban this embarassing excuse for a "member".
 
Just read many of his comments/threads. Yes, definitely yes. One thing is to advertise your company but just lying and spreading information that leads to potential danger is just wrong, plus he was warned and he defended himself asking for proof.
 
I think that sticky should be moved to the company's section and if LPF is going to continue to sell stickys that is where I think they should be. Just my 2 cents.:)

I third that.

And they are making a mockery of the forum. First they bombard us with spam, then they buy a stickie in the wrong section, then they continue to bombard us mis-information, and cloaked spam.

We need to all email Avery.
 
I'm not worried about the fact that he's a Chinese person living in China who speaks Chinese natively.. I can't say I feel like it's grounds for a ban. Shit, I know I'd sound like an idiot for a long time if I tried to learn Chinese..
 
Yeah I know, I didnt mean to vote to ban just based on that, he does provide lots of dangerous info masked as "Advice" but for some reason I find him and his little friend's posts very comical lol.

Lol thats actually kinda deep in a weird way "NEVER WASTE TIME TO TALK ABOUT HOW" that should be like a bumpersticker or something :crackup: I just dont see how any of them could be taken seriously..
 
I don't care about a ban but this should be fix definitely.
