I agree Jerry, most of these votes look completely legit. There are maybe 1 or 2 voters which may be Tyler's extra accounts, but even they seem unlikely because of the join date, writing style, etc.

Also, I am not accusing anyone here but we have to be aware that it is also possible that this is going on the other way - if some member really wants Tyler banned there may be ghost accounts in the "yes" vote too. It is probably not the case, but you never know. I think any poll should be 100% fair even if it goes against what I personally voted.

While I do agree that this sucks, I don't feel it needs to stop. Sometimes in life, you have to do things you don't want to do. Tyler has become extremely problematic, so as a self moderated forum we're doing what needs to be done. I don't necessarily like it, but I'm glad it's being done.

A long time ago, I lost some money on eBay because of a bad transaction. I was maybe 20 or so at the time. I paid for an item, it never arrived. All of my e-mails were ignored. Long story short, I felt like taking a five hour drive and kicking the crap out of the guy. Luckily then I didn't have a car. Moral of this story is, is it feels like shit getting scammed. Money is too hard to earn now days (especially if you live in the US with the current state of it's economy) for someone to just take it and not live up to his end of the bargain. Even though you may have shipped out the laser(s) Tyler, that doesn't mean you lived up to your end of the bargain. Shabby work is a breach of contract where I come from.

While the drug problems may be irrelevant, it does however prove his dishonesty and who knows it may even be the reason he acts the way he does. In lieu of all of this, I really feel bad for Tyler but at the same time we as a community allow someone to sell shabby products. If any one of you went out and paid $1,500 for a nice brand new flat screen lcd 1080p high def. television which broke down 24 hours later, there's no doubt in my mind that you'd bring it back and demand an exchange. What if the company says no? What if the company says it's not their problem? What if the company tells you it's your fault? Is anyone honestly going to tell me that they are not going to become infuriated? What if you then decide to call the Better Business Bureau, and they they inform you that they're received MULTIPLE complaints? Then what? Should they just continue their poor business practices?

the data on the Forum Threads/Posts or by any knowledgeable Member...

Since I did not need to have a Laser Built I had skipped over this Build Thread..

When I read outrageous and exaggerated BS like this...

i am going to have to raise my build price slightly.
I did not realize how much money is involved in tool upkeep "iron tips ECSPECIALY... i use really good ones... and they burn up quick, but theres none better"

We make thousands of solder joints a year and our tips that sell for $5.00 to
$7.00 last us a full year if not longer... But he seems to be using better tips
than we are since there are none better... I call BS..

the world has ever seen.... with Glass blowing equipment and vacuum
pumps and High voltage test apparatus..

A noob would easily fall for this BS...

it makes my skin crawl.... Knowing that there is a snake like this
duping new members out of their $$$$...

The only thing that will be accomplished is....

1) he gets $$$ for something he can't build properly or professionally
2) the duped member looses his investment on a shoddy build
3) the LPF Forum will acquire a reputation of harboring dishonest Sellers
that prey on noobs

I (or anyone else) really don't need to be associated with this type of
negative oriented reputation...
I've worked to hard in my life to need to accept it... and I don't think
the Forum community should either...

Remaining neutral is the same as standing by and letting it happen, good or bad.

Not saying that, but I don't know that from personal experience and I'm not willing to make a judgement on what other people have said.

I'd rather just stay out of this.

Asherz, if all the evidence presented thus far (all the threads, proven dishonesty, proven lies) isn't enough for you, I'm guessing that the only thing that will convince you is being ripped off yourself somehow.. I guess that's OK, some people only learn the hard way, regardless of how much people try to save them the trouble.

We have collectively stood by our obligation to provide proof that what we claim is true. We have done that repeatedly and irrefutably. The necessary links to this proof are located in any of at least three different threads. The least people can do is investigate for themselves.

The bottom line is that we CANNOT allow people who have proven themselves to be dishonest to continue to do business here. If we do, how will we be comfortable knowing that we are being dealt with fairly when we buy or trade? Something has to be in place to control who can use this forum for business. Dark NEVER posts here unless it is somehow related to business or clearing his name. His only interest in this forum is for business. Why should we allow him to stay? PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME A GOOD ANSWER!!!!!!

As I've said previously, this is not a question. There is no gray area. This is black and white.

I'm going to be very disappointed if these tool isn't banned. I will probably also be very reluctant to use these forums. I also feel that there are ghost accounts voting in Tyler's favor. I saw a user in there with seven posts. Like wtf does he even know about all of this even if it is legit...
