Hey folks bobH was banned. some of us feel that aside from all the drama he does have some skill and knowledge to offer LPF.

c0ld asked that we make a poll to see what LPF wants as a whole

There has never been any argument about his laser knowledge. Unfortunately, drama and tension follow him around.

You cannot ask that the "drama" be ended or reduced AND ask that a central catalyst for said drama remain.

It is interesting that his banning poll was the impetus for doing away with banning polls and now it is his banning that leads us to a poll about whether his ban should "stick" or not (essentially a banning poll).

We shifted to another system for banning decisions because these banning polls were problematic. Now we are using one to override that earlier decision about them.

And the wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round

We have done this before for basically the same reasons..
He was given a reprieve the last time... but has not made an
effort to fit into this Laser Community... IMO

BobH has no control over his anger and lashes out on members
every chance he gets...
He has single handedly caused the closing of 5 Threads on the
Forum...by trying to TROLL for a Flame War...

I must admit that BobH is more knowledgeable about Lasers than I
am... but I will not allow him to kick me or any other Member here
in the crotch... Laser knowledge or not...

It seems that he makes a conscious effort to not fit in....

That's because the owner of this site cannot or will not deal with these problems. I understand how Avery feels. It's a full time job.

That's why I mentioned to him about having more mods. This kind of stuff just can't be ignored because it will get worse. It has to be dealt with by someone who has higher authority.

No unnecessary rants, just good decisions based off of the information displayed.

You're right.
But if were going to be banning members, for just not getting along. We need to do it as a general group consensus. Especially if that member has been around for a while. I have no problem with a new member being banned within the first few weeks. No mater what the reason is. Or even if it is a seasoned member is being banned for lying, cheating, stealing. Those are always ground for immediate perma banning.

But bobH has been here for a while. I feel that having at least a poll is in order.

Now, while I have seen some whining coming from bobH.
It's never seemed to bother me that much.
I remember the ban poll set up for him a few months ago. He was almost banned in it. So I do understand why he is a little pissed and maybe holds a grudge.

He was let stay by the poll and then started not long after thumbing
his nose at the members he believed voted to ban him... like a 7 year
old...
He has been running around in threads and at every opportunity stating
that he was unjustly voted on by the bad meanies (as Dave would put it)...

And in the Past Week became completely berserk with his direct trolling
of Dave and myself because I suggested Dave as a nominee as Mod...
I think that put him over the proverbial edge...

BobH completely lost it this week... all you need to do is read his posts...
As far as I'm concerned he is a mental case with a geek I'm better
than you attitude.... IMHO

I can do without his snide conniving and Trolling drama here on LPF...:cool:

Look at it like this... if you are considered for a ban poll more than once don't you think there is a real problem?

also i recommend allowing ban polls but only in the vet section...

We are talking about Bob. Take your own advice, and stay on topic please.

Bob will obviously harbor any negativity that goes his way. He even included me in his rant, and I dont remember ever trolling him. How do you deal with a person like that?

No, you gave advice that we needed another Mod to stop the drama, and here you are trying to hijack this thread with more drama. We are talking about Bob, not Jerry.
