ATI vs Nvidia

Ouch the deal was good i saw that too, but i waited till i got enough money for a bit better card and even now i wish i would have waited for the new cards. but i think we would all agree if we only waited we could always get something better but then your always waiting.....

I have an ATI 4870 too. I love my computer, she can play everything perfectly.

The card is also factory overclocked to 950 mhz memory and 780 mhz Core.

The heatsink itself is also really nice.

I'm running a Phenom II x4 3.2 GHZ processor; Screams through everything.

I have a nVidia GTX 590 and it really rocks !
But sometimes when you play games it gets very hot so
the fan speed goes to high and it is a bit annoying

I have an Nvidia GTX 570 in my comp and I love it. If I ever have the money to go all out on a new computer setup, however, it will have Crossfired ATI cards. ATI seems to be working on multi-card scaling more than making one powerful stand-alone card.

On a second note, Nvidia needs to start putting *at least* 2 gigs of GDDR5 in ALL of their cards from here on out. This 1.2 and 1.5 etc. shit needs to stop for good.

I have ATI 5450, it's doing ok, but not great. It plays games at a decent frame rate at medium/medium-high settings, and plays 1080p video good if the bit-rate doesn't go too high, then it gets a little choppy (this is very rare tho). But I don't know much about computers in general, it may be something else other than the video card to blame for this. My machine is a pre-built Dell by the way.
