I can only say this to you along with many of the other members in this thread, because many have not actually been around on the forum quite so long.

I've been here a longgg time, and if I'm really honest with everyone here that reads this, I'll sincerely say that this forum is no where near the same as it used to be when TJ disappeared from the boards, and Dave is posting hardly anything at all.

Those two in particular have been here for as long as I can remember. They were here when the whole forum changed during fast times too. When 6x BRs were getting harvested. When Dave harvested the first 8X. They were there when Mohrenburg extracted the first 12X diode. They were here when the forum became overrun by new members brought here during the 445 craze. (And be honest with yourselves, many of you came here because you heard about big blue lasers, and have been here ever since).

Right now though, the forum is full of many unfamiliar usernames and a whole lot of boring, old, repeated threads. And I won't complain about it, but I will say that when TJ and Dave and FP and Moh and Nikokapo and Lasersbee and EF are all here in full swing, this forum is awesome and hilarious - lots of fun to spend time on. But when the best thread right now is probably the epic gif thread, something else is missing from the original boards.

I would prefer Dave and TJ to hang here much more often.

Maybe some members aren't the most likeable, but their absence goes noticed because they were great characters - fascinating and unique people to talk with.

madmacro, I like your opinion and will stand by you until we can hear something from admin. I just hope we can all continue to stand by you, even if they do come back. Please don't just get up and leave.

I agree with what you're saying Meatball, there were several times TJ would say what I was thinking....but didn't have the gonads to say it myself. Some of the things he would say, would literally make me have to clean coffee off of my monitor.

I don't want to see anyone, except the scammers...be perma-banned, I have no problem with anyone on the "Net" due to having the ability, to walk away from the keyboard.(Trollers are like stray dogs...if you don't feed them, they will go away) I feel that life is much too short to perpetuate BS.

I'm sure you noticed, TJ and I had quite a few fights. I gave as good as I got, and that is where the problem surfaced.

In the name of preventing Drama, whenever TJ and I would have it out, Dave would step in to warn me to stop it.

To maintain the prime directive of "keeping the peace".

This concept of Peace at all costs, is not something I agree with personally, but I am content to abide with, given that it is a directive from Ave, and this is his forum.

And so it would go. A fight would break out, a thread would be locked.

I would drop it there. TJ would not. And so it continued.

If the fights were allowed to continue, I think ultimately they would have burned themselves out. That was never really allowed to happen though. Instead threads were locked, edited, and deleted.

This in turn brings up the subject of censorship... another issue worthy of discussion, but deserving of a separate thread imo.
