I think it would be wise to just sit on a roof and blind them all with a laser first. then you wont have to worry about rushing, a blind zombie couldnt track you that well.

Imagine the difficulty of completely blinding both eyes of a moving zombie, now multiply that times a full on swarm of them. What is the duty cycle of your laser? How fast does it go through batteries? Is the mains electricity still on? Even if you can charge batteries, do you have that much time?

Also, you live in Texas... do you really want to be stranded on a roof during summer?

True, but i figure the divergence on a good 1W+ laser would actually help you out. at 100yds the dot could hit the whole face. Shouldnt take long to at least blind them for a bit. I would hope that the roof would be my job, which is a data center. The UPS, and 4 backup generators would give me plenty of power. Just one of our generators can keep blocks of neighborhoods lit up with power. With access to the roof, different levels of lock doors to get thru. A dozen+ security cameras. i figure my work is almost perfect. Only thing its really missing is food. Have a kitchen, and fridges. Just not enough food stashed. I mean, a guy on here hit his eye for half a second and look what it did. Imagine a dot the size of a grapefruit hitting the face...

Your workplace does sound ideal. ( Start stashing MREs in the drop panel ceiling above your desk.) But, c'mon... you live in the Great State of Texas! You have amazing gun laws! And as an old gunfighter once said: "Never go to a gun fight armed with a small laser. You loose:-( "

O, i own guns too. Just think about it though, ammo isnt going to be available once the zombie invasion started. Once you run out you are screwed, might as well do as much damage with renewable energy first. Now if you could get a nice "death ray" laser(cant find the link to the page, but its a huge gas laser) you could kill a bunch with some head shots.

That is all fairy tale talk though, the fact is there would be so many zombies. Im not sure anyone could survive more than a month or 2.

<--- so godam jealous

Nice! Something like that is on my list. One of these days. :)

My current weapons:
Walther p22
Tarus 85 (.38 special snub nose)
Mossberg 500 12 gauge pump
.410 shotgun (don't know much about it)
.303 British bolt action rifle.

The last two are pretty old. The .303 is a beast to shoot. The end of the stock has a nice brass plate that wants to knock the heck out of your shoulder.

These are all the ones that I consider my own. My wife, step-son, and mother all hae their own collections that I have access to.

If you come by to visit, please be sure to knock first. :D

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked! I just picked it up last week. I've been waiting a while for one to become available. I'm still all smiles:drool:

Sig Sauer 716 (.308/7.62x51)
Sig Sauer P229 (.40)
.300 Savage lever
old pump .22
old single shot .22
old revolver .22

Co-owned with pops:
Desert Eagle (.50AE)

Honestly, I think I have the most fun with the single shot .22. I can't miss with that thing:yh:
