i know this if off topic but i have seen other posts on interesting things such as gun laws religion, computers, ect so my question is what do you guys think of the new xbox one with all its policies on requiring an internet connection to work and restricting the use of used games, and other features? is it a bad move? is it fine? i figured at least some laser hobbyists were also gamers

from what i have seen it has made a lot of people mad

some info on this
Microsoft Details Xbox One Used Games, Always Online - IGN

and their biggest rival does not have the same restrictions
E3 2013: PlayStation 4 Launching for $399 - IGN

if i cant post off topic im sorry and ill delete it, i just have a very large and wide range of opinions here so i figured i would hear them on this

This probably should have gone in Off-Topic > Other

But anyway, PS4 really nailed it at E3. I own an xbox 360, but with all the negativity surrounding the new xBox One it looks like PS4 may be the right move. Granted I only really know the negatives about the new xbox and not all the features that it has because I didn't watch/read any of their annoucement things

PS4 wins big time. Cheaper price, better hardware, less restrictions and in my opinion better exclusives.

the fact that you have to say that is the worst part,, a die hard fan looking at PS4 i bet you didn't look to hard at the ps3,,, because xbox 360 was fine and not full of restrictions..

i am also a xbox fan, i never thought about getting a play station but respected the system still but now im not too sure about xbox

loosing die hard fans is not very good business...

part of being a xbox fan is since i love the feel of the controller and im also a die hard COD players so getting all the map packs first is a HUGE plus to me. like you said i never even looked at the PS3 even though online gaming is free since getting the maps first and having a better feeling controller won me over. plus i didnt feel like spending the money to replace my xboxs.....yes plural, have 2x 360s :D

UGH i hate this, hopefully they get their SH*T together or they are going to go under!!!!! xbox players will happily jump ship to PS4

I've never really gotten into console gaming. I own a PS3 and XBox Kinect mainly for when we have guests with kids over, but I do use the PS3 for Netflix and Amazon Instant Video quite a bit. I don't have a bias either way and am not locked into a particular game fan base track (ie. Halo, etc) that would skew my objectivity. That being said, Sony has it. I think they built a superior product in PS3 and did it again with PS4. Unless I am missing something, Microsoft's changes regarding licensing and net play just solidified the PS4 market share.

As for me, I'll likely take any money I would have spent on a console upgrade and buy a laser. :)

pew pew pew!

I have an Xbox 360 however at the moment I believe the PS4 is better, better hardware is a big deal. Also Xbox One has a camera and mic that is always on, which sucks.

That said, I'm mainly a PC gamer these days :)

PS4 owns xbox one, after the move of microsoft not to be able to play games without internet connect and even not sharing games... ps4 wins. I am an xbox360 player however i must go with PS4.But whatever PC owns them all :)

I don't even own a console, how people play COD ect on a n00bpad is beyond me.

PC is all I use.

Wait what? Requiring an internet connection is flat out retarded. They can say goodbye to 1/2 of their sales. Even if most people do have internet, a lot of the time it's too slow or laggy, or even too low a bandwidth cap to have a console connected every time you play it. I haven't had a console since the PS1 and don't intend to, but I know stupid when I hear it :p
