I haven't been banned yet:angel: but I have always wondered what actually happens when someone is banned.

Maybe someone who's been temp banned or a mod can clue us in.

And no, I don't want to try it first hand:p

Maybe it is going by his IP and he is still surfing the site but not logged in. Some forums allow you to continue to browse while banned just not post or do any other member only activities.

I think unless you actually click the "Log Out" button at the top of the forum you will still be counted as on, potentially for days, even if you close the browser or shut down your PC. When you are banned all you get is the LPF logo and a message "You have been banned from this forum. Reason: ________ Ban Length: _______". So people who are banned can't or just don't click "Log Out", so they stay on. :D
