awesome... looks like a very interesting place to visit :)

Hopefully they don't have any rare giant bugs that like to suck your blood at night, though.

LOL rckstr I think that they do :p

Think about it, the more beautiful or exotic a place seems (amazon, congo, pacific islands etc.) the more consequences it has:

-disease
-bigger bugs
-viral infections
-more (ALOT) more blood thirsty bugs
-higher chance of fatal poison attack (spider, snake or other.)

I am gonna go on a limb and say that, that island must have some alien mosquitos that drink an ounce a piece and leave your skin looking green...but I would still go.

Found this article surfing the web. Amazing landscape/vegetation would love to visit.. Surprised a movie hasn't been made there (or has it). Extremely interesting pictures and info.

what do you guys think?

If you scroll down to the 5th picture from the bottom on the right -

I swear that looks very much like something I've seen in an episode of the tv show Primeval (if you're in the US it's now showing Saturday nights on BBCAmerica)

Also this one:

So perhaps some of that show was filmed there....

But yeah, that would be a great place to film a sci-fi movie - would have been a much better substitute for an alien planet in Star Trek than the deserts of California!

Niko: yep very interesting stuff on that site, good for passing time at work ;D

Shrecken_Licht: It is quite possible that it was used in at least one show, so there is a good chance that you did in fact see it on the show that you mentioned (am not familiar with it), in fact I would be surprised if no one in the film/tv industry had the dea to used the islands scenery and habitats.

IMO star gate, star trek etc. could have benefited from aleast couple of episodes shot there, next to those trees...hell parts of star wars could've/should've been filmed there...tsk tsk lucas...tsk tsk

Thanks
