this thread will be dedicated to the stories of the worst things everyone has found in their food  ;D ;D


I have found several live bugs in cereal box I just started eating out of that I just opened for the first time (was sealed)

a live cockroach in my salad bag *shudder*

thats all I can remember for now

I have also found several hundred 2-3ft long hairs in my mashed potatoes (mine as I didn't tie my hair back and wasn't paying attention)  :

Mould? Seriously, I've never had insects or anything though. I once had a(sealed) jar of peanuts with a cigarette butt inside; never eating Planter's peanuts again...

it's not the thing's that i have found in my food that gross me out. it's all the thing's i didn't find

i found some ant's in a box of cereal once i still ate it and the ant's ;D
i also bit in to a hamburger once and spit out a peice of metal yuck!

But really, I found living insects in my kraft dinner (I didn't eat it :).
And at a restaurant, I found a 1" metal screw in my pasta! :-/

I found a bunch of dead mealworms in my cereal one time. This was after I had already eaten half the bowl btw.

I have found mouse crap in a box a cereal after I was eating it, there were turds floating around in the milk. I pulled a long curly hair out of my McDonald's dollar chicken sandwich today...I hope it was from somebody's head...

A shrimp where it wasn't supposed to be.


I'm allergic to shrimp, so I could've died if I had bitten it instead of seeing it. I didn't order egg rolls from there again, and didn't eat egg rolls at all for a year. I had been VERY clear they were to be veggie egg rolls only, and still ended up with a shrimp egg roll.

Never anything very gross though, I'm pretty good about eating food quickly when I buy it before it goes bad, and I don't really try new restaurants often without recommendations from friends. I guess I'm kinda boring in that regard.

I pulled it out of my mouth and kept eating..it wasn't worth returning because the McDonalds I got it from is 15 miles away from where I ate it...lol

Back at my old place, I remember finding a cockroach squashed to the bottom of a cup(after I finished my coffee). Ever since then, I always keep the cups turned upside-down in the cupboard.

Well the worst for me was years ago at a kmart cafeteria. I ordered a salad and there was a nice fat bright green caterpillar crawling around in it. At least it matched its surroundings...roflmao.
