A worm in my room...

I got home from work today to find a roughly 3 inch long thin dark coloured worm thing in the corner of my room. I took a look at it with a rather bright torch and it didn't move or anything so I just left it. It was there for around 4 hours and I went downstairs for about 10 mins, by the time I got back up again it had vanished... What's even more annoying and creepy is I cant find any trace of it in my room at all.

It had no legs or anything, just imagine a dark piece of thin string about 3mm thick.

Any ideas what it could be? I tried searching in google and I get similar results but their descriptions of it are different.

ewww,maybe your neighbors secretly put it in there becuase you always shine your laser in their windows?

Hopefully you don't have one of these ;D, but seriously I have no idea what it is.

It's an alien. They beamed it back up to the mother ship.

Thats because you eat in that room, i has some of these months ago! Use goggles and laser them with a mask(smell)
I was finding them at night theyre affraid of light so use The Torch

Actually yeah it did look like that.

So its a good thing its missing in my room and its harmless?

I did laser it after it was there for hours without moving at all and it still didn't move.
