LOL!

As someone who wears a medical ID bracelet, I literally laughed out loud seeing that!

I'm sure this has been posted a few times already, and it's not exactly a Win, I just think it may help some to understand why there are such drastic differences in perception with regard to laser or flashlight brightness.

On that scale, where I live, I'm at 6. It takes a blackout to truly appreciate a laser or a flashlight. Even 80 lumens is extremely impressive, and blinding when it's truly dark. Same goes for lasers. With a rural sky, not during a full moon, maybe with some clouds & humidity, or dust, even 5mW becomes enough to produce a nice visible beam in the night sky.

When I lived in NJ I was at about a 7 at best, up here in MI I'm at about 2 to 4 average depending on cloudiness. We have several prison systems 20mi to the south and a large (for up here) city 20mi to the north east of us so when it is cloudy the light pollution makes it hard to appreciate anything requiring truer darkness.

A clear night with a new moon I think we might hit a 1.5 or so. A cloudy night with a full moon, I think we get around a 6 or 7.
