Who Won the First Presidential Debate?

First of all, Clinton has not been a politician for 30 years. That is what Trump said and it is wrong. She first got into politics when she won the Senate seat back in 2000. So she has been a politician for 16 years off and on. That was an important issue in this debate. Trump's continuous lies. His supporters don't even care that he lies and don't care about fact checking him as they will vote for him "even if he shoots so somebody in the middle of Fifth Ave.", as he said once recently himself. But, undecided voters care and they were the ones she was talking to. This poll is basically a popularity contest as no one really cares that he lost the debate. At least his supporters don't and will say in the face of all evidence to the contrary that he won the debate and is ahead in the polls.

Oh man, I think Clinton handled the debate better than Trump did, but I feel like the debate's clear loser was the American public. One of these people is most likely going to be our president.

The 2016 presidential election seems more like reality TV than a serious political election at this point.

I don't know how anybody can really feel like either major candidate will really do anything they're hoping for.

30 years 15, Trump made her look like she was barely above the level of a first year politician.

That's a fact no Democrat can escape. Hillary is at the top of her game and Trump can only get better.

Well, we do agree about that. He has nowhere to go but up as there is no down from where he is. But, at 70 years old, I doubt he will. I agree with Rivem. I'm not excited a even a little about this election. It is truly the choice between two bad choices and, unfortunately, Clinton is the better choice.

You realize that Clinton and Trump are the same age right...

Mentioning either candidates age, like it has any relevance, is amusing to me to say the least.

Bill Clinton was President 1993 - 2001 and was Governor of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992, and the Arkansas Attorney General from 1977 to 1979.

Hillary was involved although not officially she was a part of that team and exposed to the hustle, she was part of the rose law firm.


1977 to 2016 is 39 years that she has been at the least within " arms reach ", it count's for drug possession it should count for political experience.

p.s. It's not her god given asthetics, her race, age or gender, it's what's in her mind/soul that shows through on her face that I find ugly.


Of course her eyes don't look in the same direction when she looks straight ahead, something you don't see her do often, her brain is damaged, but that's not what' ugly about her either.

She seemed to be just fine on Monday evening. If you are still pushing the "health" issue, I think it died in the debates. My mention of Trump's age was only with respect to his ability to change. I suppose it would be the same for Clinton, but I'm not nearly as afraid of her as i am of Trump.

Well if the reaper is after her he'd better hurry up. We're running out of time here. She looked fine to me during the debate. What wasn't fine was Trump saying he was smart for not paying taxes, and being made to look like an idiot on the whole 'birther' thing.

1. Trump IS smart to not pay taxes, if he has done it within the letter of the law. I do the same thing for both my private and biz taxes, I don't pay any more than I have to. Don't you do the same thing?

Also if there is a problem with this why hasn't Hillary ever pushed to fix the law? Why does her tax plan involve raising taxes in every sector EXCEPT Corp taxes?

Fundamentally, all government should be voluntary, that includes funding.

Trump has also indicated he wants to Audit the Fed Reserve and abolish the IRS. These are two things we need done to give the people more power over government.



2. Hillarys campaign perpetuated (no it wasn't originally their idea) the Birther conspiracy back when she ran against Obama.



What I find amusing is the obvious Liberal Logic fallacy of the following.

A. Trump sticks with the Birthers (So Trump wears tinfoil)

B. Trump says he was wrong (Hillary has also pushed the "birther" idea, if Trump is dumb for being wrong so is Hillary, at least Trump has acknowledged it and moved beyond it, Clinton is in denial/actively lying)



The "Birther" thing belongs in the relevance pile with the age of either candidate, skin color, glove size, and eye color.

Regardless of your intentions or your actual question, the poll results will only reflect the voter's political affiliations. This is a waste of time.

There's members from other countres who saw the debate, not just Americans!(albeit an American majority) Our opinions on the debate will probably be most unbiased.

A voter in this poll, not the presidential election. Is anyone going to say the candidate with opposite views of their own won? No. Doesn't matter how eloquent or articulate the candidate is.

Hahaha so true. It really seems like we are still trying to convince ourselves we are making the right choice but there is this doubt, lack of confidence, risky gamble. With the way media works, as we saw in the first debate, and the last election, and the one before that...if you cant see the bias, regardless of your core politics, your in denial. The abalphabet media outlets have become the wind in the sail of public opinion. This isnt democracy its theatre.
