Who are these guests?

Everyday there are a couple hundred of us members online at any given time. There are also usually double that number in guests. Are there people who just read through the site everyday without every registering? Maybe they are just 1 time visitors. I don't know.
Did anyone here linger in the shadows before they came into the forum as a member?

Some of these guests could be search engine web crawlers, also.

Before I even knew about this forum, I started doing Google searches for things laser related, sometimes articles in this forum would come up in the search.

If I clicked on the link in google, it took me to the page, and at that time I was probably a guest for as long as the page was open, even if I didn't spend much time actually looking at it. If I left the page open on my computer and went off on vacation, I was probably an unwitting guest the whole time!

Just a thought...

I found out about this forum through another forum. Googling around though it looks like this site comes up a lot with laser related searches.

Some could just be when someone clicks on a link that leads to LPF...even if it is only for a couple seconds it will show up in the guest number.

I didn't lurk before I joined this forum, the first time I really looked around this place I joined (after SenKat PMed me on LC telling me to come here ;D )

it could be a few intelligent people who used google after figuring out kipday's flashlight hax was a little fishy and stumbled here.
mayabe some users don't have it set to auto login, so when they go to lpf the server sees a guest?

i used to just read the forums. Until finally i made an account & started posting.

But ya..... i used to be one of the "guests"

I found LPF simply by typing in "laserpointerforums" because I thought green lasers were cool, I wanted to find a forum where I could learn more about them. That was quite a while back.
