Some of the known perils of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

* Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.

* Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.

* Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.

* DHMO is a major component of acid rain.

* Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns.

* Contributes to soil erosion.

* Leads to corrosion and oxidation of many metals.

* Contamination of electrical systems often causes short-circuits.

* Exposure decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.

* Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.

* Given to vicious dogs involved in recent deadly attacks.

* Often associated with killer cyclones in the U.S. Midwest and elsewhere, and in hurricanes including deadly storms in Florida, New Orleans and other areas of the southeastern U.S.

* Thermal variations in DHMO are a suspected contributor to the El Nino weather effect.

Terrorists use dihydrogen monoxide. So by not banning dihydrogen monoxide you are supporting terrorism. Report all Dihydrogen Monoxide activity to your local Homeland Security Division.

Dihydrogen monixide is added to most of our foods because it is cheap, which is quite similar to the addition of melamine to toxic Chinese milk.

Toxic Chinese milk also contains large amounts of dihydrogen monoxide.

I'd hate to get some of that dihyrogen monoxide on one of my lasers...

I'll admit, in my past I've tried using DHMO as a dietary supplement, and I can tell you first hand that its effects are quite pronounced. When ingesting my DHMO I'd often choke and end up with DMHO in my lungs... Let me tell you, the reports of accidental DHMO inhalation aren't exaggerated in any way, it is a terrifying experience and can certainly lead to death.

I once swam in a DHMO contaminated lake without proper swimming lessons and nearly died due to DHMO exposure. I'd recommend everyone be aware of this dangerous chemical which it seems is becoming more and more prevalent in our daily lives, especially during March, the rainy season.

I used to throw chunks of alkali metals into buckets of DHMO for an explosion.

Another theory about the extinction of dinosaurs is that the poison (DHMO) changed its %s of malign gasses and killed them all.
