No music? hmm ok! Im sorta addicted to music. The only music I cant stand would be country classical and opera! It's so strange and obscure... But drum and bass it just tits!

I used to listen to Enya, Lorena McKennit, Rush, The Eagles and some other stuff, but haven't taken the time to listen to music for most of the last 10 years. I can't stand red neck country, lots of opera (but not all, Sarah Brightman is very good) or rap, oh how I dislike rap, especially if it is racial rap. (i.e, repeating the N word Ad infinitum).

My gf is obsessed with rush. When I was a kid I swore the vocals was a woman!! ha!
And racial rap? cmon man... ha jk yea that can be rough.

I was working in Afghanistan supporting some Air Force personnel and one dude kept playing that racial rap which repeated the N word over and over again, drove me crazy. I told him I didn't want to hear that stuff anymore, it was racist and he said he can listen or say the N word as much as he wants because he was black and then turned the volume up even higher. I found it obnoxious. (edit: to me a racial slur is a racial slur, no matter who is saying it). I complained to his boss and the guy accused me of being racist, give me a break, it's exactly because I'm not racist that I disliked it.

I like to think i have a very varied taste in music but i couldnt agree more with Alaskan's dislike of rap i just dont get it at all. My dislikes's, easier to list than my likes really, are opera, rap, r'n'b, country and everything in the pop charts ..... and i think thats it. I recently started listening to Blues/Jazz and i quite like it after years of saying i'd never give it a go.

In my younger years rock and metal were my only choices with some punk thrown in for good measure. I must say that i always loved Rush and still do although i havent seen them live since their moving pictures tour in the early 80's and would love to see them again before they hang up their touring boots for good.

I'm at home all the time as i cant work any more so i have music playing all the time. Today it's mostly been some trance/chillout that i get from Free Music at Ektoplazm - Free Music Portal and Psytrance Netlabel they release a few free albums a week and i have to say it's nearly all good.

^ I Lol'd. I mostly listen to chillstep, and coldplay atm. If it has melody and a nice beat I'll listen to it. Mostly no vocals but coldplay is an exception
