The ad layout has been here for awhile. It is the same as the last time period in which you got some time in here 
The population continues to climb. We are >18K members now. As far as individuals go, people come and people go <shrug>
If you're looking for someone particular, you can post in the "Where's Waldo?" thread

the # of ads has went down in recent months actually. i removed lots of the ones on the bottom
