I would but no nearby stores carry ESP guitars. :(

You honestly can't get any sort of opinion from a website... it's the kind of thing that you have to GO to a store and try just about every guitar that appeals to you. Example -- I went to Guitar Center yesterday, and picked up a $1200 Ibanez and a $3000 Les Paul, and I couldn't comfortably play either NEAR as well as my $300 Ibanez I got last year - Playability is a huge factor in buying any guitar. The best guitar in the whole store, IMO, was a vintage Gibson Explorer... even with the thick neck and awkward body shape, it felt like an extention of myself. That's something you can't know or experience just from reviews. My advice - Go to the nearest big-name guitar store, and devote a day to playing all the guitars that either the staff recommends, or that you find appealing. You're almost always guaranteed to find one that fits your needs like a glove. :)

Here's my pair of Ibanez electrics... The one on the right is a mid-70's 'law suit' model.

Next up is my rare Gibson Nouveau. They made these acoustics over seas for a very short time I believe in the late 70's. I found it at a pawn shop in Reno in perfect, like new condition for only $250! With the Gibson hard case! :D Put some 9's on there and lowered the strings/adjusted the neck...and it plays like my Taylor!

Last but not least, is my Taylor 410ce... nough said.

I have a Washburn XMPRO with a floyd rose and it is in the limited tobacco burst finish. I also own a black Hamer F/t2 (which is FS) with some new chrome covers, and a push pull coil split. I own a cool 3 string acoustic-electric cigar box guitar. I cant forget my first guitar which I purchased back in middle school It is a start copy that has been pretty beat up and used for various tone experiments. Right now it has a Telecaster neck pup in the neck position. one day I plan on getting it a new neck along with a laser cut pickguard and some AlNiCo pups for the bridge and mid positions. Also on the list is my El-cheapo acoustic my grandma found at a yard sale which I use for finger strength exercises because of its higher action. Last but not least is my baby. It is a guitar I made myself and It looks and sounds so good. It has the shape of a classic Telecaster. It sports a bone nut and new fender round string trees. The neck is all maple, (and the fingerboard is too). It has a thin lightly polished layer of finish on its "butcher block" body. It sports two StewMac humbuckers in zebra. The neck pup is covered with a chrome cover an contains an AlNiCo V and the bridge is uncovered and contains an AlNiCo II. It also has a coil-split push pull pot for some mean single coil tone. It is a string through the body design to get the best sustain I can get. For gear I've got a Fender Excelsior tube amp and a Fender Mustang I amp for practice. In the next few years I plan to do a Historically accurate 59' Les Paul build, and a 12-string SG build which i will call the EDS-637.5.
