cable guy was my favorite movie when i was in high school in 1994. so i set up my first email chipdouglas40@hotmail.com so it stuck and i still have that as my primary email, and user name for most things.

Friends I have been into astronomy since 1970 and I long ago took on the handle. My club and I built a 22 inch diameter telescope, and I have the optics for a 20.25 inch now that is a real beast to build for a not so wealthy guy! It is something I need to build though!

I think it's really interesting to read about everyone's usernames so I don't mind bumping this thread

I used to go under MANY names on the internet and at school - my e-mail was once something to do with the band Muse as I loved them (and still do), on counter strike source my name was (and is still when I play and pwn once or twice each month) "Threat" written in a specific way. I just thought it was a cool name, a bit like razor or spike but more unique.
I had several other names based on band or song names and one time I was called DaBomb because everyone said the party exploded when I arrived.. then I learned that dabomb was a mediocre bike company and also realised how stupid it sounded.

When I started getting jobs and applying for Uni I thought I should get an e-mail tied to my actual name so it was a bit more official, at first it was JST but I wanted something which could be pronounced - Jaseth from the two first letters of each of my names, because Seb (Sebastian) is actually my middle name. It should be said like the two names Jay & Seth- Jaseth.

I don't really use it with my friends as they tend to call me by one of 5 nicknames or just "Seb". I don't care about being anonymous on the internet so it does not bother me that people can easily track me down - I buy so much stuff anyway that I often give out my real name.

Ah, ok ..... my nick is just the laser i want as keychain pointer ..... and also, the codename of one of the (probably invented, but we can't know this for sure ) secret research from U. S. Navy weaponry department (after all, also the EM railgun, the electric blast gun, and the free electrons cannon, was just fantasy inventions, before they make and test them, so, who know for sure ? ).....

Mine is a combination of my favorite game at the time (Unreal Tournament) and my real life nickname (JMan), since when I was younger I tried to make something cool out of Jeremy. Stuck with me ever since.
