I was never too big on DOTA, but it was fun.
Civil Wars was somewhat similar to Dota, there forces on each side constantly fighting, trying to get to each other's side. But they start out with primitive upgrades and as you get gold you upgrade them to medieval, to industrial, to modern, to space age. It's pretty fun.

Quake 3 was a highschool thing we did in computers somehow we got it on every computer like permanately and they couldint get it off lol.

Dota is just a map on WC3

HON Heroes of Newerth - Beta.heroesofnewerth.com is a stand alone dota game very badass and good graphics

these newer games are just too busy for my old brain.

Heck my 10 year old plays "fate" all day long, looks great, just not my cup o tea.

Although...
the part where was said that each and every particle casts it's own soft shadows realtime -> great processing power required...

But generaly... I like!

Wow that is awesome i want to see the requirements for that game.... while it isnt my type of game i might just buy it for the eye candy alone.
