Weird USPS Shipping tracking?

As some of you know, I ordered some cool stuff from DX about a week ago. I used EMS Express expecting the package to come very quikc, but it hasn't. I tried tracking it with USPS, and I got somehting I have never seen before on USPS. The status is "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment".

Class: Express Mail International®
Status: Origin Post is Preparing Shipment

We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.

So does anyone know what this means? Think I am going to get it soon? I've never got it before... And if its related to customs, I didnt order anything thye should go through, just a bracelet for a friend and a LED watch. But yeah. I was just looking for some answers.

its happened to me quite a lot... it just means that their postal service has received it but havent put it on the plane/ship to send it to its destination yet.

Once your parcel is physically on its way, your tracking info will be updated.

Get ready though, Sometimes EMS sits at customs longer... Sounds weird but I think "generic" mail flies "under the radar" a little easier.

My last EMS upgrade sat in customs for almost a week.

OMG WTF.

Customs are so retarded, I got a freggin watch and another watch. God --- what the hell? My moms birthday is in 4 days. If its not here I'm going to be really pissed and really be mad. I ordered using EMS expecting it to come fast.

You said your package sat in customs for a week? Can I ask what was in there/ how many items were in there?

A small bottle of pills.;)

To put things in perspective, Rayfoss sent my green module in a small padded bag, nothing special, regular air mail. ($8 shipping)

The package of "vitamins" was the same exact size, only difference was EMS labels and a tracking number (plus the additional $30 EMS charge) and the laser module got here in a week, The EMS took 3 weeks.

Customs did not open or violate either package, so it's not as if a "committee" had to decide if they should move it along or not.

(the next statement is unrelated to my situation, I got my packages months ago)

Also the holiday season is very hectic on customs officers, a LOT of packages cross the waters this time of year, immigrant families sending gifts back and forth clogs up the borders. I would bet you $100 that there is still wrapped gifts sitting in customs offices around the globe right now.

No matter how well your package is labeled, wrapped and addressed, if it gets placed on the belt behind a few packages that have crappy labels, no zip codes and/or all the other forms are missing or filled out wrong, yours will wait until they figure out what to do with the ones in front of you.

It's kinda like when you run into a store for a quick soda, and the person in front of you in the express lane has a third party out of state check, no ID and an attitude.

I have the same "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" for quite awhile now and I am starting to get nervous. Also technically its 2 parcels, but the second is up in limbo from what I can best understand right now..

Actually it has nothing to do with customs.
What it means is that the seller has generated and printed an electronic airbill label, but the postal service has not yet gotten the package from the shipper/seller.
