Do the speaker wires run next to an amp? Do you live under a radio tower?

They're possessed ;)

Actually, it's kinda common. The circuits in the speakers are probably not shielded in any way and something is acting like an antenna and picking up RF transmission. It happens on my stereo stuff occasionally.

I don't think there is much you can do since it is difficult to fully shield a speaker from RF (shielding it's magnetics is a different story), but then you also have the wires which probably aren't shielded either, plus any intereference which may be coming from the source (computer) itself.

I'd say, your best bet to stop it is better speakers that are more impervious to interference.  Otherwise, you could just build a big faraday cage around your computer, but then you'd also lose your wifi connection ;D

My cell phone can make most any speakers I've encountered click over and over, and buzz as well.  Fairly normal for signals to come through speakers.

The weirder one was that my cell phone could turn on my cordless electric shaver, THAT freaked me out the first time it happened.  If the electric razor was within a few inches of the phone when it received a call (or sent a call), the shaver would just turn on.  Very strange, but a cool trick.

I've listened to German radio through my guitar

The pickups somehow received the signal, and the amp combined with distortion amplified it so I was able to hear it. This have happened twice, once with since coil pickups and the second time with humbuckers.

Welcome to the world of INTERFERENCE!!

When I was 8 years old I had a pair of crappy speakers that when powered actively (they could be used with the PC's power instead of AC, but with AC they could use the amplifier :)) could receive a christian radio where they made some "exorcisms"... imagine listening to music with "OOOOOMGGGGGGGGGG DEVIL GET THE HELL OUTTA MY FOLLOWERS GODDAMN ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH" behind :D
