I have heard about Planet X, even watched some YouTube videos from different people explaining their own theories. They have also named it Nibiru.

Anyway, to me I would make sense that "Planet X" could be the cause for all the extinctions the Earth has experienced every few million years. However, with all our technology, wouldn't we of found it by now?!?!

-Alex

We are on the hunt for "Planet Nine" although researchers say it is not Nibiru.

"... astronomers Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown, both of whom are based at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, inferred the planet's existence based on the strange orbits of a half dozen small objects in the Kuiper Belt, the ring of icy bodies beyond Neptune"

Charles Hapgood was the first to propose rapid pole shift idea back in the 1920's. He claimed Manhattan used to be the North Pole and that the shift created a landwave miles high that has hidden all the evidence of advanced civilizations that predated known humanity. All his evidence has since been explained by the discovery of tectonic plates and glacial retreat. He wasn't taken very seriously back then nor now but its an interesting read none the less. The book is entitled Poleshift I believe. I found it in a used book store many years ago when I was a follower of speculative history and new age mumbo jumbo. I have since been healed by things called facts and logic.

Indeed, but we can manage to find stars which are thousands of light years away but not a planet orbiting around our solar system? I understand it may be dark, and not reflect much light but it seems fishy to me :/

One problem is that we also don't really know where this planet would be, exactly.

The existence of this planet-9 is predicted by the orbits of several other dwarf-planets (or big rocks) in orbits further away than pluto. There seems to be some orbital resonance there that would require the prescence of a fairly heavy object on pluto's scale.

One thing to notice is that masses here are small compared to what we are used to: Even pluto has a mass that is about 1/6th of the earths moon, or 1/500th of the earths or so.

These still are big boulders, but they are also very far away. Their influence on the orbit of earth is probably negible. Jupiters moons are much closer and much more massive (in the order of our own moon) and still not considered to be important to earths orbit.

Today is Friday the 13th, this could be it. Don't go anywhere today unless you have to!

Superstition is a wonderful thing. Friday 13ths are apparently days with fewer road accidents than other fridays because some people elect to stay off the road leading to less traffic and congestion.

A similar thing happens in aviation where tickets can be cheaper on 9/11 of any given year because some people fear a repeat and prefer to fly the day before or after.

Insurance companies aggregate data on such things as well, and statistically, friday 13ths are relatively safe days for things like road travel.

It's too bad that doesn't also work for the full moon, although there's conflicting info, some studies say there's no difference, but police and people that work in hospitals say it's busier when there is a full moon, some even have extra people working on those days. Maybe we just have widespread lunacy and lycanthropy.

I was sort of joking when I mentioned lycanthropy, then I am listening to radio tonight and I hear about what's going on in the city of Hull in England. I did a search and it looks like there could be something to it. They are even organizing a hunt for the creature on the night of the full moon on the 23rd. :wtf:

Like Pi R Squared said it's lunacy. There's nothing to the full moon having an influence on behavior by some force. It's not *gravity ( which most would argue is the force behind the Lunar effect) because the full gravitational attraction of the moon no matter what phase it's in is still there. Perhaps the reason you see a supposed uptick is because you pay more attention to peoples behavior during a full moon and more people are out because the full moon provides enough light to see by.

A long time ago I read an article which calculated the pull of gravity exerted by the moon amounts to the downward force of a mosquito resting on your shoulder.
* People also make the incorrect analogy it's gravity because the moon mostly is responsible for tides and the human body is mostly made of water. were they go wrong is not realizing the earth's water is massive as is the moon's mass. In other words it's a great mass acting upon another great mass. One never sees tides in a pool.

Sleep deprivation from the unusually bright nights is a reason alone to have a negative effect on ones attitude therefor making ones Monday or even the duration of the full moon cycle almost like a woman on her monthly.:na:
