Water balloons are fun, but they can get boring. Looking for some ideas/suggestions for other liquids that you could fill them with for both water balloon fights and laser popping videos. :D

Only thing is that it has to be completely safe/non-toxic. Nothing dangerous here.

If you're looking to buy lots of water based lubricant I recommend you buy the raw powder, add water yourself, better bang for your buck :D (pun not intended)

Then you can get it to the right consistency too!

It's a useful medium to have around, works better than vegetable oil for some waves. :D

If you got a bunch of money lying around, you could get some Gallium, it melts at a kinda comfy 85-86 degrees F. Should be interesting to put in a balloon.

Can you order this online? The raw powder? What is it called?

I can imagine this could be really fun to mess around with. :D Make a giant slip and slide, fill an inflatable pool with it, etc. :D

I did find one place that has some kind of powder that turns into goo, they have it colored too. :D

I forgot  I think you can source it from the same company that makes KY Jelly.

Maple syrup

Haha, what a mess. :D That would be awesome.

Hmm. According to Wiki KY Jelly is made from either methylcellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose (sold under trade name Natrosol).

K-Y Jelly - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hydroxyethyl cellulose - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Same as what Messy Supplies is selling as their slime powder. :D

Guess I'll order one of the big bags. :D Colored too. :D

Anyone have any ideas about what's the fastest, most efficient way to get a thicker liquid into a water balloon?

Find a jar. Make a hole in the lid of the jar, and attach a nozzle for a balloon to attach to. Also, put a nozzle on the bottom of the jar - preferably with a valve.

Then, fill the jar with your thick fluid. Put the lid on, and attach the balloon to it.

Flip it over. Attach a pump to the bottom of the jar and pump air in.

The thick fluid will flow into, and fill, the water balloon.

Tadaaa!

My apartment was repainted recently and they were using some paint pumps to pump paint up the 13 floors.

Paint pumps to pump paint up. Say that 10 times. :D
