Maybe i want to sue yahoo for sending me mails i do not want.
I was registered to a lazer tag group to see their messages and post there.
I hoewever got mails every time a post was made on the group's forum.
I still get about 10-30 mails every day about lazer tab forum.
I tried:
-unsubscribing. Doesnt work at all, only makes it impossible for me to post. Still get their fcking mails.
-deleting my account. Being put on a freaking 90 day cue before my account is terminated. Also doubt they would really remove the account.
-blocking mails. Unfortunatly the web host package has spam protection but their block words or sender option doesnt appear to be working.
-contacting yahoo. Impossible. Not a single form or email adress available. Only their shit support system with build in questions and answers.

I hope their servers will burn down then i will laugh at those pricks.
I already have this issue a half year now.
Found some dutch email adresses but they have all been deleted.
They dont want to have customer support.
I cant believe its such a popular site. I HATE them with all my heart.

How can i fix this? Can a loyer give me info about sueing them? Their advice probaly costs money too?
Im also placing this as a steam blowoff.

Solution... sign out of the account, and stop using it.

There are dozens of free email providers out there.

Have you tried sending email to the list owner? I did some quick digging though Yahoo Help Hell (YHH) and like you didn't find a direct email link to an actual support address. I did stumble across the syntax of the email addresses.

groupname-owner@yahoogroups.com should get you to whoever actually manages the group. (Assuming this thing hasn't been running on auto-pilot for ages now) Perhaps they can actually remove you from the group properly. It's worth a shot anyway.

The other suggestion would be to open a gmail account, set the address you are getting SPAM on to forward everything to gmail. (You can give gmail your POP3 info and it will pull it, if you can't control fowarding) Once everything is going to gmail, they provide some great tools for dealing with spam or at least filtering the email using folders. (Labels in gmail terms)

If you need help with gmail, feel free to PM me. I've been using it for all my various email addresses for years now. It's not perfect, but it's one of the best options I'm aware of at the moment.

Its my email provider that doesnt give the option...i would never use yahoo mail.
@jc: thanks for trying to help:) the groupowner doesnt see me listed anymore in that group. So unsubscribing only got me deleted but still get the shit notifications.

So switch email providers.

If you hate yahoo, but keep using it anyway...

I cant just switch emails, because its from my web host, my provider for my website.
I have other mail accounts also at gmail, but i also get other important mail at the adress so i need to keep using it and want to keep using it.

There is no option to create filter rules in your email? To automatically drop any emails from a @yahoo into spam?

If not, consider using outlook... you can set the rules locally for yourself, and never look into the junk folder.

"Want to burn down yahoo"

I would think that it would be a criminal offense and would
no doubt be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law...

We don't use those Free E-mail providers. We pay for an
E-Mail account through our ISP and have full control over
our account. We can filter/block anyone we want.

Do you realize that yahoo is a HUGE corporation? Or that you probably checked a box on a EULA somewhere that covers their ass perfectly?

At best you will get laughed at.

In case you do manage to convince someone to take on the case, bear in mind, there is no reason why yahoo can't counter sue you, and if you lose, you might be on the hook for yahoo's and the court expenses.
