Diachi, :wtf:. I want to be impressed by this guys work, but I can't look past the shear stupidity of what he actually is doing.
Also in order to have found that video, you must of spent a fair amount of time on the internet. :p Don't delve too far into YT, it gets pretty weird. :D

Yeah, it's good work, but there's better ways he could have gone about the testing phase that'd have been much safer.

As for my finding the video, check out /r/shittyrobots on Reddit. :p

Love the mobile home, the dirt driveway and the assorted lawn ornaments. If he ever flipped that thing he would be a smear on the pavement.

I am watching these guys race on cable and found some vids on YT, this is great, just look at the torque and that damping after the jumps, looks like a lot of fun.

A bit slow but interesting

When I first saw this post, I thought t was going to be about QFD, or quantumflavourdynamics. This is the study of the weak atomic forces as apposed to QCD, or quantumchromodynamics, or the study of the strong atomic forces. Now that I took the time to watch it, I found it has nothing to do with that at all, but the optical cerebral cortex of the brain. Interesting, but a little disappointing as I was looking forward to a talk about QCD.

Never seen this type racing, your not kidding RedC:)
I watched the entire clip and didn't notice one spindle, one tie rod, etc. snapping on those jumps. Something that seemed to be pretty common a few years ago at least when I watched monster trucks go through their courses. I get that they aren't as massive and a more complex 4 wheel drive like the Big Foots but still thats alot force coming down.
Metal tech has come a long way..

Happy to see you to 12,000 now. The video was interesting, but I couldn't buy all of it. Thanks for sharing it, though.

Yea, I find such videos interesting but don't buy into all of it, I can't buy into all of anything, not sure it would be good to do so. There is a word for folk like that, starts with a G but not good.

Does it end in ullable?

Ham radio greeting followed by his callsign. "73 DE" is old shorthand for "Best regards from" (73 = "best regards". DE = "from") and KL7FB is the callsign. I say old shorthand, but it's still widely used by ham radio operators. I've only ever seen DE used with Morse/Digital modes while 73 is used just about universally (spoken or digital).

Also ... my childhood has officially been ruined.

Welcome to life as a sysadmin. :wave:Surrounded by computers 24/7. Although, summer is finally here so I'll be able to get out and enjoy the outdoors for a while.
