Looks like another BDR-209 engraver. If it is inexpensive, I like it. Otherwise, depends on price. It looks like TTL instead of PWM. So....?

I'll pass for now. I'm not interested in investing and the price seems high at the moment.

It looks like nice little engraver, although it also looks like recipe for potential disaster, by marketing it to people with no laser experience, and most importantly, no safety eyewear.

No safety glasses in sight, little kids, reflections, using it in public places, it looks like an accident waiting to happen. That being said, where can I get one? :D

Yup... you hit it on the head... Lack of Laser Safety
precautions.
I can see lawsuits in their future..
As you said... Not a Laser Safety Goggle/Glasses
in sight...

They won't be going on sale in this country any time soon, you can't sell a >5mW laser pen, let alone an ~1W burning engraver.
Can't you just see all the women carrying one of these around in their purse; before you know it they'll be trying to give each other tattoos with the damn things!

Yeah, I mentioned that on the Reddit thread, no way the FDA would let that fly if they found out it was being sold in the states... Pretty sure I didn't see any safety glasses in the video either? Apparently they are included but that doesn't go for anything without an understanding of the dangers.

Someone also asked on the Reddit thread if they could tattoo themselves with it.

Is that a plug for something? Sure seems like one. I don't get it..... and I really don't want to.

I haven't seen the video yet, but I'm guessing that the virtual lens was under dispute. How is a computer algorithm meant to physically focus a beam like a theta lens?
