useing a laser to sharpen a sword?

Has anyone else heard anything about this and how it's done? I wonder how powerful the laser needs to be to put an edge on a decent quality katana

Hmm...i know they use lasers to cut materials, but I've never heard of one use to put an edge on a blade.

Howdy stranger Been a while...

Never heard of sharpening with lasers.. cutting, but not to sharpen.

there was a blog on a guy doing that i read a while back and i had saved the page on my computer but my computer is out of commision atm, using a 8 year old amd k6 build XD
