Used my laser to draw on my friends phone's LCD!

lol ok so his screen was already broken, so we thought "why not draw in the broken part with my laser?" so I did. here are a few pics (click for a bigger pic):

what was cool about this was it looked like a hologram. The LOL appeared to stand out on top of background colors, however on these pics it doesnt show.

people i know break their phone screens all the time, from sitting on it to having it fall down stairs or off a table or something

I guess I've just been extremely lucky then. I've never even seen a broken screen on a phone before tonight.

my friend always did this cool flippy thing with his phone, he mastered it, then one day he messed up and i guess it broke haha.

My phone's screen is made of electronic ink... While it's pretty much unbreakable, it's not impervious to lasers.
(tiny blackish dot in lower right of photo... hey, I was curious, I couldn't help it.)

When I shine my 5mW at the electronic viewfinder on my digital camera, the screen stays dark, then slowly turns greener and greener. ;D It goes back to normal in a few minutes...
