A 9 minute version would be great, the bad thing about the original mix is that the outro is too quick, impossible to mix (i tried....several times).

Come now. Nothing is impossible to mix. If you can't mix the beats, mix on a break. It's all about creativity.. Do you use CDJs, 1200s, or software for mixing?

Not so much into the trance anymore. Techno, on the other hand, I love. Also a big fan of progressive house, and I have a soft spot for downtempo. Nothing shows off the true capabilities of a synth like downtempo. It's slow airy atmosphere gives every nuance of a tone a chance to shine, plus if you combine it with the proper effects, you get goosebumps every time... I can't even begin to name tracks, but if you want to stay current with the very best stuff out, you'll want to check out beatport.com (if you don't go there already).. lot's of fairly good stuff on itunes, as well. It's nice to see folks here who appreciate decent electronic music.

Seems you've never listened to that track. The ending is abrupt, doesn't allow any room for mixing. The only way is to mix the ending vocals with another beat or just add a loop behind it but it sounds horrible.

No, you're right I haven't. But I've never heard any track that couldn't be mixed with a little ingenuity and a little creativity. I've seen guys mix progressive house straight into D&B, and it sounded great because they picked the tracks well and they mixed on a break. You ended your sentence with a perfectly good way to mix out. Use the vocal.. If you've got an effects mixer with a delay, that would be simple..

Personally, if I end up with a track that I don't like the structure of, I just create a custom edit in Ableton (you can use any DAW software that you may have around. Steinberg Wavelab is great as well) and alter the ending (or the beginning) by finding a raw beat somewhere in the song and looping it until I get the structure the way I want it. That way it can't sound that bad since the loop is from the song in question. If you create the edit beforehand and save it as a complete track, then you don't even need any real finesse during the live mix. The great thing about house-type (4/4) beats is that they are structured of 32-beat main sections that are subdivided into 4-, 8-, or 16-beat subsections (or measures). Typcally, if you're precise enough, you can cut a track apart into these 32-beat sections and rearrange them nearly any way you want... If you have software, there's really nothing you can't do.

Guys, don't you think we 've had enough with that mixed track you are talking about? Let's just forget about it and enjoy the magic of trance music :)
Post more mixes if you want :)

^I'm pretty sure I can talk about whatever I want. Last time I checked this is an open forum and we're in the "other" section in a thread about electronic music, so I don't see what the problem is. Sorry my posts don't live up to your expectations for your thread here.

Electronic music is one of my first loves. I've been producing and engineering dance tracks for about 6 years, and I've produced many events (both clubs and raves) here in St. Louis as well over the past decade. I just noticed that Niko said something about not being able to mix a track properly because of it's structure. I just thought I'd share some tips that I've picked up over the years.. But hey, what do I know, right?

My mistake, sorry for posting in your "trance is awesome" thread. You can rest assured I won't be posting in any of your threads anymore.
