too many sticky's?

anyone else think there are too many sticky threads in the BST section? i just noticed another one was added to it.

Yeah... I think to be a sticky in the B/S/T it should be something that
will almost always be available from trusted members like JayRob... LarryDFW...
drlava... rkcstr... to name a few...

I also think that members with less than 1000 posts should just post in the
regular B/S/T section.. (yeah I know drlava has less than 1000 posts but he
is already a trusted member here)

For example...
If I was going to sell a few LaserBee Is then I should be posting in the regular
section... but if I would make the LaserBee I available all year round then it could
be a B/S/T sticky...

There are way too many stickies in the BST section IMO. I had that BST "Threads of Interest" stickied for a while (I put links of all the current stickies and important threads in there), but none of the threads I linked to were de-stickied so it just became an extra thread up there. I say we should try the "BST Threads of Interest" again, but this time we have to remove all of the other stickies for it to work. This works on every other forum so I don't see why it won't work here.

There some glue on my fingers, my keyboard is all sticky now.












Take down some sticky's ^^.

I thought it was a good idea at the time... then all of a sudden it disappeared...
and I had even linked to it in numerous posts...

Anything that you add to the "B/S/T Threads of Interest must not be Stickied...
or like you said... they show up multiple times...

Didn't I make a thread like this some time ago to make the BST section have less stickies?

History repeats itself..


EDIT: The Laser-Wave contest should be unstickied too (from the General section).

I want the stickies to remain for drivers and jayrob kits for sure, I do not think there are far too many, but a bit off would be O.K. btw, I have plenty of the yellow goggles, and they are safety items, so let's keep this one up too please! AMB! -Glenn

If one goes they all should go. Combine them all into one. Then lock the thread so you dont have 1000 pages of chatter. If a new sickie needs to be added Avery can always add it.

No not at all. Its not fair to pick and choose. If you make the stickies a thread, then its only fair if all are listed. Hell Jay has about 12 sales threads alone. Like I said just lock the thread, and have Avery post the links. This way you only have one, one-stop-shop thread, and it will leave room for the little guys. It will also eliminate the need to bump non sticky threads, like most of Jays.

Either that or make 2 sections. 1 for veteran sellers and one for the rest of us. Because the single sales get buried quite quick with everyone bumping their sales threads.
