One of my main interests (other than lasers obviously ;)) are cars, in particular Audi and VWs are my favorite. I was just wondering if anyone else here shares this passion? (doesnt have to be just VW and Audi, but anything with an engine...:D)

I'm just interested to see what people around the world do to their cars.

If so here is the place to post your pics of your rides and discuss.

I'll get the ball rolling with a some pics of my pride and joy..:)

EDIT: current specs:

2000 Audi A3 1.8T Sport(facelifted), 18" Audi RSTT alloys, Weitec ultra GT springs and shocks, CustomCode stage 1 remap (appox 195bhp), Pipercross panel filter, MIJ custom cat-back exhaust, S3 front and rear bumper.

This is pretty much stock appart from wheels and suspension

The next ones are the car in its current form with a few more things done...

I can appreciate this. Nice pics, BTW!

I'm not so much into this now as when I was younger. Now I just enjoy my '02 Jeep Liberty. Earlier tho, I was into my:
  1. '63 Ford Galaxy 500 - 390 c.i. V8 police interceptor
  2. Camaros - Always wanted a '68 SS396 with a Muncie 4 speed. I finally owned a '79 with 350 c.i. V8 4bbl, 4 speed stick.
  3. '85 Chevy Celebrity EuroSport - EFI tuned port V6. At the time, it was nice for a divorced 40 year old dude.
There were others of course, but those I enjoyed.

@silvercookie - nice impreza man! have you done anything to the engine? Also im guessing you were having a little fun that day in the snow ;) looks awsome in you avatar pic BTW

@roosl - nice selection of classics you've had by the sounds of it..I really like the old camaros...

@boosted_4cyl - Nice pics! yeh i remember your a4 from a while ago, it was sweet. IMO i rekon you should get the older b5 S4 for your next car, then you could put the money you save over the 03 s4 towards the pickup. thats just me though...love the b5 S4. Definatly go for an Audi though...;)

EDIT: f22warzone - nice truck! 4kW... that should be epic! :D

to everyone who commented on my pics. thanks.
nothing done to the engine yet.
by the end of this summer im hoping to be atleast stage 2, what im really aiming for is a 16g in there, will put me at roughly 260/310

and if you are wondering. yes it WAS fun, but there was no fun in that pic, those marks were already there.

the week before i went to a parking lot i had never been in, and my friend told me there were no dividers, except for the one he forgot about.
ended up destroying my rim, bending my hub, knuckle, and strut.

My very 1st car was a '92 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. It had a 1st gen engine lower half, 2nd gen MAF, a flashed ECU, a manual boost controller and a couple small tweeks. That car hauled major a$$, and with all wheel drive it was stupid fun in the snow. I will never forget that beast. As soon as I am financially able, I am gonna build another one from the ground up. Just thinking about the day my dumb ass sold it brings tears to my eyes.

yea, 650 for hub and knuckle parts +labor, and 145 for new strut + labor.
as soon as i get my sway bars in i might do a couple of autocrosses.
also forgot to mention i have front and rear strut bars.

i have a perrin sri waiting to go in.
whiteline 24mm front sway bar with kartboy endlinks waiting to go in.
ebay special h brace waiting to go in.
and a catless up-pipe is going in as soon as i find a catless down pipe.

Get the 350z, Ive wanted one for the longest time. It looks fast just sitting there.

imo much faster and nicer cars can be had for the same money.

I love RWD and big v8s. My next car will be a terminator Cobra, one of the 2003/4 supercharged ones.

Ah, the one that got away! :( what kind of bhp was it putting out?

I will always remember my first car, lol! red ford fiesta classic 1.1 litre...55bhp!!
as far as cars go it was pretty bad, but had some awsome times in that thing!!:D

@quadcam - sounds good... v8's are nice, not so good over here in the UK when petrol is so expensive:( , what are you driving at the moment??
