Your supposed to turn the pot 3 times counter clockwise while swinging a chicken in a brown paper bag above your head

And your drive will be set at the output you want :eg:

What's the "6" for then?

eek. The DOF is horrible with a reversed lens.

That is probably one of the most unusual shots I've ever taken. I had to hold a lens backwards, a piece of paper over my flash to defuse it and still hold my camera.

Yup... using 18-55mm lens.

I know! Grab a reverse adapter, makes life so much easier.

The smaller your lens goes, the greater the zoom... so 18mm will zoom more than 55mm. But the amount of light needed is increased.

Haha cheers danefex,

I'm sure your pics would come out a lot better than mine. I love your high res wallpapers by the way!

Pot wipers are often made of NiChrome, or Nickel chromium. This is a very valuable resource that is fast diminishing, and manufacturers often take to recycling other products that they make, in order to waste nothing.

Therefore, they take all the money they make from manufacturing carbon film resistors, and convert it to US currency, five cent pieces, specifically. These are then stamped out into corresponding shapes, such as wipers for pots and nichrome wire for wirewound resistors. Those numbers you see are simply markings from the previous form of nickel. Maybe the date on the coin had a 3 or a 9 or something. I have a pot that has Thomas Jefferson's nose on it.

(also, nice high-res shot, is that pot medical?):na:
