Well there are a select few of you who already know about this but I'm all for involving the entire community in it! Me and the wife are expecting! Don't know the sex yet. Will keep everyone posted periodically via this thread. Just excited and wanted to share.

Those of you who knew, it turns out to just be a single healthy baby. Not twins. Thank god. I cant afford any more shotguns if it had been two girls. haha

I imagine this means a Speedy Christmas sale later this year to prepare. But that wont stop me from building up until then!

Looking forward to seeing the pics of this little baby brandishing the new 5W 650nm in the maternity ward. Have you figured out how to prism/mirror the gas lasers around the crib for the artificial star field on the ceiling?

Ha, I'm sure there will be something made with lasers in the baby room for sure. <5mW though. Who knows. May throw one of my HeNes as a warm bedside lamp.

Congratulations!!! I cannot wait to see your FS thread :eg: Is it bad that I have a lot of the smiley codes memorized? lol.

On the topic of HeNe lamps, is it bad for our eyes to view plasma? I just feel like I heard that sometime during my childhood.... "don't look at the plasma it will melt your eyes" or something....lol.

It's not a laser, just a bulb, shone through card/plastic with holes in it depicting the universe (i think)
