Yes, this person is an idiot, but the people who are even more stupid are those who are suing Snapchat. Don't get me wrong, I don't like nor use Snapchat, but if you start blaming companies for the actions of stupid people, you will end up on a very dangerous path. What happens if we start penalizing gun companies every time someone gets shot?

You know there's a lawsuit by the parents of the kids who died in the sandy hook tragedy... that is seeking damages from gun manufacturers.

I feel terrible for those parents, but it's asinine and a perfect example of a broken legal system, that the suit hasn't been thrown out of court already.

Why not name Mercedez in the lawsuit too while she's at it... after all there's a speed display... and the car can go that fast. Far faster than any legal speed limit in the US.

We have not carried the torch of freedom with the vigilance and steadfast unapologetic pride that our fathers and grand fathers did.

We have slipped from complacency into apathy and allowed our elected servants to act as our masters, now in debt we find half our population is made up of entitled stray cats easily manipulated by the servant masters.

What we could have been, the things we could have done, our short lifespan squandered as old lessons are getting ready to be relearned by our children born into bondage, it's financial bondage, but a man who works and still must beg for assistance to survive is just as much as slave as a man kept and fed and worked.

Our freedom lost, all our actions governed, monitored and watched, everyone guilty of something at all times, yes our children will be born into bondage, the aesthetics are modernized but the control and elite ruling class are already in plain view, and with half a nation of entitled puppets we are on the preface of a long slow decline rather than a bright shining future.

Before you tell me it's not that bad, understand that's the problem, rather than saying it's not that bad we should be righting the wrongs and holding in check those we elect to hold our collective power and represent us, saying it's not that bad is what got us here.....we need to be saying it is worse than it should be and we don't want to let things go any further.

Firstly because it is a german brand, and there is no speed limit on many german highways - it's perfectly legal to drive 250 km/h on them and some motorists do (please use mirrors well BEFORE changing lanes!). Also cars can be driven on private property where there is no speed limit in most countries at all, how relevant that aspect is depends on the length of the driveway you own.

But the point is that you probably should just be looking out the windshield when driving along at say 40 meters a second. It doesn't matter if you are looking at snapchat, whatsapp, sms or even reading a newspaper at that speed, it's just stupid and any accident that occurs from it is user error, not product fault.

Legislation often isn't the real answer to things either. Here in the netherlands they implemented a law that rules it illegal to 'hold a cellphone while driving a car'. Before smartphones that could have been reasonable, but nowadays it means you can be fined for using your smartphone as a navigation system just because it is capable of making phone calls (regardless if you actually do or do not make one whilst driving).

So I can legally fsck around with my satnav system at highway speed since that cannot place phone calls, but cannot do the exact same thing using google maps on my smartphone since that can make phone calls. The verdict is still out on if it is legal to use a smartphone as a navigation device when there is no sim card in it and using offline maps - something very easy to do nowadays but lawmakers could not have foreseen 15 years ago.

I appreciate the response, but it was a rhetorical, sarcastic question :p

On a more serious note, I do wish italics would become internationally recognized as a way to indicate sarcasm.

This reminds me, I saw a news story a few months ago about the growing practice of extreme selfies, I don't remember where I saw it and I can't find it, but there are some people getting killed doing this just to get a really great selfie. Here's a short video showing some examples.

I wouldn't even call some of those dangerous.

infi - it's not just MB. Pretty much every vehicle goes faster than needed. Even if you limited them to 75, people could still go over in areas where it is 35 for example. Plus people will get around it.

Dr - that goes right back to it being absurd to hold product manufacturers responsible for product use.
