Smoke Machine!

Finally ordered my smoke machine, should have it tomorrow! Cant wait to test it out and try lasers with it.

Quick question though, what is the difference between water based fluid and the other kind. Also what will happen if I mix a light fluid with a dense effect fluid?

water based means 'includes glycerin' ... which is mixed with the water and forms the fog. Other fog machines you refer to are probably hazers and these use small amounts of mineral oil. - if you didn't buy the hazer, don't go mixing up different substances with the fog juice, because of the high temperatures involved, you might ruin your machine or have the pipes inside clog with impurities or additives.

hazers are completely different from foggers! Basiclly ALL fog machines use the smae or similar fluid, use the one recommended of you could ruin your fog machine! Hazers cost to much for laserists to bother with, though i have one and its great!

Ok, its just turned up 2 days later after ordering it!

haven't tested it yet though, one reason is because I bought it from a ebay store and it looks like they have sent the wrong one. I am not going to say anything, unless they do, though because I have an even better Hurricane 650 one now.

Will set it up soon and give it a try!

Just tried it, works perfectly! Needs to be on for quite a bit to get enough smoke in the room though. It needs loads of smoke to see my 100mw red fully.
