This is literally my first ever art class.  Never took any when I was in high school and am finally getting around to it in college.  So I've no clue about the "egg" method.  I do know spidey has to have an egg shaped head!  LOL

I suppose with art as long as you watermark it or something to make sure that the image doesn't get stolen, it'd be cool.

Before you watermark you need to copywrite it. Then you have to catch the person using it. Then you need a lawyer. If they change it 50% they can use, so they can still steal your idea. Its not worth the hassle.

Wow, some very creative people here. Always remember that nothing is bad in art. If you can convey your emotion through the picture than it doesn't matter what it looks like.

Yeah, I suppose it's just not important enough for me to worry about anyone stealing my art, cause I'm just not good enough at it to make any money doing it. Nor do I really care.

When you spend 50+ working hours on a project believe me, you will care. I estimate my pen and ink work is worth atleast $30 an hour, so do the math. I made $50 an hour doing tattos, but the hours were less.

OH I don't disagree. I spent in the neighborhood of 30 hours on this most recent drawing and it will get put into a frame and put in my boys room so that they can enjoy it the rest of their childhood.

Here is the final drawing that will be turned in for the grade tomorrow morning at 8AM.

You guys are all amazing...

I'm a photographer, but I suck with just about everything else. I don't want to hijack the thread though.

Hey your kid has some talent. All you guys do. I've been in a slum. I have not picked up a pen/pencil in a few years now.

I've been working on some LPF wallpaper. Any thoughts, suggestions? I'm going to add the star at the end of the beam.

Unfortunately I hardly ever get to draw or paint anymore - as my job is that of an artist, I spend pretty much all my time doing stuff that other people want and will pay for.

But here's some oldies:

(guess how I did this one!)

BTW, Niko, your stuff (I think you had a link on another laser forum as I recall seeing your stuff before - very cool!) reminds me of a photoshop pic I did a few years ago:

Here's some drawings and some more Photoshopping:

Here's an Adobe Illustrator file (talk about time-consuming - I did this one in college and I swear I spent something like 35 hours on this one!):

This is the sort of stuff I do job-wise - animal replicas and re-creations - this is a replica of the extinct Tasmanian tiger:

And a dead pitbull I did for an episode of Law and Order:

I love art.

All my art can be found in the games I make, my latest Xbox game was praised for its art style: http://xblcg.info/game/solar (that's the most popular site for rating these games and I'm currently ranked 7 out of 249, woot!)

If there are any talented artists here who want to do art for games, I'll give you a job ;D

Yeah, I posted links to my deviantart gallery in several threads. Thanks ;) They're my pride and joy.
