Im not sure but 2 winters ago i was cleaning off the truck and lost my phone. Well let me tell you the phone didn't survive that test after i found it . At almost 6000 lbs curb weight not a chance for the iPhone ..

What's the tank size? Sounds like you're getting good mileage.
My truck will do that ... on 2 tanks, at 70 liters a tank...

What sort of economy are you getting? I've relatively easily gotten 20 mpg on the highway in half ton trucks which would just about make that distance on that amount of fuel. My personal truck isn't great on fuel either, but I can still keep it in the 15-17 mpg range. Highway is ~19. Granted, it's got a bigger tank.
I feel like Seol might have a small tank though. Quite a few cars my family has had would easily do over 1000km, and I doubt they had the economy of the echo. Maybe the US has bigger tanks though.

I was getting 11MPG yesterday when I looked, and that's with 91 octane, it drops a little with the 87. Cost ends up being about the same. Usually sits around 10-11MPG in town during summer. Drops to about 8MPG in winter usually.
Highway I'll get around 17MPG.
Dakotas are notoriously bad for fuel economy, especially the 4.7L models. I could probably be a little less heavy on the throttle, could maybe get it up to 13-14 in town.
Looks like the Echo has a 45L tank, which is fairly standard for that sort of size. Think my 89 Corolla had a 40L and could do about 600km on that.

That's a bit painful. I guess I wouldn't know since FCA has been on the "Never Again" list for a while. Had an 8.1 2500 Suburban a while back, and that would only get a whopping 13mpg at best. I believe it had a ~150L tank though.

2002 Ford Mondeo here, which i'll keep around as long as it keeps working well.
Fuel consumption is very low compared to many american cars it seems, something in the order of 12 km per litre (34 MPG apparently) and i'm not driving it gently to conserve fuel either. On highways at constant speed the consumption is lower, probably around 15 km per litre at a constant 120 km/h. Given the 60 liter fuel tank that should give a range of 750 km or so, though i've never tried to push that.
Recently i rented a littke Skoda Fabia in slovenia, tiny engine and all that, but surprisingly nice to drive apart from the overkill power steering with no feedback at all. One thing i found really odd on that car though: it suggests gear changes on the dashboard display. Many times it suggested i should switch from 3rd to 4th or even 5th gear while driving up a slope at a very modest speed (say 40 to 50 mp/h).
I wonder what's up with that - following that advice would clearly be dangerous as this car has virtually no power at low RPM. There is no way this thing will go up a 12% slope in 5th gear at 40 mp/h. Yet it kept insisting i should shift gears up, while shifting down to second was actually more sensible with steep slopes and tight turns coming up ahead.
I wonder if this gear suggestion system even looks at the slope you're driving on - switching to a higher gear at given speed on flat terrain might be sensible, but if this is a 'smart' system it should know the engine already pushing out as much torque as it possibly can despite the low speed when climbing a hill.

Mine does something similar. In my case, it is to help improve the official fuel economy rating and avoid the "gas guzzler tax".

My car recommends a gear change, but I ignore that and watch my tachometer. I don't like to be watching the gear shift display as it may save a bit in gas, but I've been driving fine without one for many decades with no problems and I find it mostly a distraction.

Lmao!! Oh man you wouldn't wanna come to Oklahoma, it's so boring here. I think the only thing people know about Oklahoma is our Federal building Truck bomb back in 1995, a 2,200KG explosion that could be felt 30 miles away and killed 170 people. I vaguely remember it.
