Shootin the moon !

While I was outside attempting to get agreat shot of the Aurora blue, and the BLue moon at the same time, I managed to snap up a pretty nice pic (at least I think so !) of the "Blue Moon".....I just htought this was kinda a neat pic, so I figured I would share :cool:

I tried getting beam shots that night of the Aurora blue laser - no dice, it was just too bright outside to get good beam shots :(

I am using hte Canon S2 i s camera - now that I have found out a little bit more about it, I kinda like it :)

Nice moon pic, try using a tripod, longer exposure, and lower F numbers, I found a nice tutorial online and came up with this pic some time ago with a comparable camera to yours. I think dis is the link

I took a quick snapshot 2 day.. around 8pm.. If moons and such are your thing, here goes nothin...

Man - that is incredible ! I think I was at max zoom on my camera - I am going to try again in a few days, as it is scheduled to be a blue moon AGAIN on the 30th of this month ! (Here in the US, anyways !)
