I don't know if anyone has seen that annoying commercial on the television about this marvelous new product. I've done some comprehensive searching for reviews of this product and have found a mixture of awe and outright disgust at it's effectiveness. So, with that in mind and some knowledge about how to correctly use the shamWOW I ordered a set and will provide a comprehensive review for those that are interested in this product. Unlike the youtube video's you may or may not have seen The review I will do will be much better and more indepth.

I've learned that this is useless unless the product has been completely saturated then squeezed out. The absorbant properties of the shamwow do not work when they are dry as the porous spaces between the fabric needs to be expanded a bit in order to work properly. The review will show the differences between dry and wet. I will NOT be trying for the effectiveness of pulling fluids out of a carpet like they do on the infomertial as that has OBVIOUSLY been doctored. I will however try it to see how effective it is in pulling fluids from carpeting in general. (I will go get a patch of carpeting specifically for this purpose)

As I do not actually have the shamwow currently (did order rush processing so it will only be days from now) this review will not happen for a few days. (6-7)

Stay tuned!

I just had a look at the website and damn it looks like a magic cloth that cleanses your soul. That ad works really well. Note how they messed with the coke-stained carpet bit between clips. :-?

Yeah they really do ruin things by misrepresenting them. Obviously there is a mess prior and when they cut away to the different shot that same mess is no longer there so, it can be taken that the product is not capable of truly doing what it claims in that sense. However, I've seen reviews that do indicate it is capable of pulling an enormous amount of fluid once it's been properly doused and rung out. still don't think it's capable of pulling it out of the carpet as he indicates.

I have seen it demo-ed in person, at Kmart. It will pick up near all of a spill from the (non-porous) surface under a synthetic rug. If you don't have padding under your carpet, and you don't spill on cotton or wool, and it use moist, and, and, ::) well you get it, eh, I will say, it does absorb well, but really, 8 square foot of rayon for $20? Rayon s/b cheap as h**l! That was my USD $0.02 worth! :-X

You in Summer break?

You appear to have entirely too much time on your hands right now.

Peace,

Yuck. Beer is disgusting. there are some of us who have too many bitter tastebuds and just cannot enjoy bitter things at all. I can't drink coffee either. Yech!
