I can look back in life and remember a lot that I learned the hard way, a lot that I'm not proud of, but I learned from it.
I'm still not perfect, I still break the speed limit, actually I p1zz all over it as many drivers do, but when I see brake lights coming on going over the hill I know what it means.

I made that one myself when thinking about the past.

Also when thinking about great people I came up with:

Yeah 5 a day limit, I've got that a couple of times now too.

I don't know if you drink or not, but when I can't sleep I drink a couple of glasses of wine, or maybe several, and then I can sleep. I need to anyway most of the time because it relives my symptoms. I recomend Chardonnay, the 5 liter boxes of Franzia is cheapest, but sometimes I get one that doesn't taste good, some of their wine they purchase cheap in large quantity and repackage it under the Franzia name.

If you really can't sleep then listen to nighttime talk radio, or watch a movie, or stay right here and read and reply to posts.

Whooo hooo... I was able to +rep RCB last night, tried Pi too, but couldn't do. Takes me about two weeks of rep'ing to get back around to someone twice.

I very rarely run into that one, but the one that is quite annoying is "You must spread more rep before giving it to BlahBlah again."... seems like that's the case every time.

Having to use up the number of reps required on someone completely new to the forum you are still unsure of, just so you can rep someone who deserves it, isn't very good, but that's what I'm doing. Although some complete noob's are clearly OK, others I question if a troll or returning banned members.

It would be nice if there was a way to control the amount of reps given, or taken. Find myself often not giving a rep because it would take away 3-4 or add 7-8. If that system could be adjusted that would make it a more robust system.

Eh, I know from experience people get just as mad about a -0.05 as they do about a -4.

If it's changed back to the way it was there is a good chance it will be happening again. I think it's a good thing that Avery and the mods did this but I do think they went a little overboard. I think it would be better if it was somewhere in between the way it was and the way it is now. Maybe change the required reps from 40 down to 30, or change the daily limit back to 10.

I agree completely, and I might the person who isn't most suited to talk about this situation but in the core essence, the REP system changed because of members dissatisfaction on how the REP system is run. Bringing the REP system back would be bringing the issue back to square one, and some may be disgruntled about it. The war between Cyp and VG is over, so there isn't any need to talk about it further as its over, and thinking about it just makes it worse.

And trust me, I have dealt with these types of issues before, on a different community which I left (Shortwave) and I have dealt with heartache with the situation which has occurred over there. I have seen countless number of people leave the community which I loved, so I don't want to see the same thing occur here. I don't want to experience the same agonizing experience over on this forum.

The REP system should be changed to what Pi R Squared and not reverted as the same situation, the same war will occur. It's a digital system, so we shouldn't take it as offence but things do need to be put down a notch, that's understandable. But the people who say that we need to go back to the old REP system because the situation in my opinion, are wrong because the REP system was designed to separate the cancerous, negative members from positives and not used as a weapon to attack one another. The REP system shouldn't be abused or used as a weapon; end of.

It's time to move along, we are all humans and we all do mistakes. But what differentiates between man and child is to acknowledge the situation and continue past it.
