Thanks for posting that, I had never seen an In This Moment video before. Not quite the type of music I listen to but Maria Brink Is what I imagine a more evil Lady GaGa would be like.

I still don't get why any of this discussion continues to occur under the "new" system when there are 0 votes for it. If there is one thing that stands out it's that.
I believe that the way it was DID encourage others to get involved more was an incentive and had meaning. If nothing else change it back and make it so nobody can neg REP for now since that's what is keeping the drama so high. Really, do others not see the logic in that? This doesn't need to be so difficult when it's so easy to cut some of the losses here! What in the world is the rationale for continuing with the current change when there isn't a single vote to keep it. I would like an explanation from all those who have the power to change it back.

That's a good point Pete, it seems that most of the controversy with the "old" system revolves around the neg rep aspect more than anything else.
I don't see why we couldn't implement the old system for now, with a hold on any neg repping until we could poll, or have a vote on what specifically most of us want to see allowed.

There are 7 votes to get rId of the system, 4 who don't care and 8 who say tweak it. That means that the 8 who say tweak it can deal with it from the side that the 15 are on who want to revert and 4 don't care. What's there to discuss. There's no point in dealing with it the way it is now since there are 0 votes for that. How many ways does this have to be explained using common sense. What are we waiting on? When is the forum punishment over with? Buler?
How about more energy applied to figuring out who's a troll now and figuring out a way to stop that garbage instead of so much time on this?
How about getting back to some other things such as i just posted a new thread in the tutorial section that I need help with figuring out the correct information for the benefit of all in a much simpler way for basic build infornation without having to spend hours searching out some simple questions or seeing the millionth post asking the same questions on basic build stuff so there are less blown diodes and drivers. Would be nice see all you smart people use your knowledge for something really useful.

What if everyone got 1 rep a day, give it to who ever you think deserves it the most, or use it to neg someone, but just like a rich man and a poor man each get 1 vote.

Now if you don't use it you can save up 10 but no more. Saving number 11 or 12 won't count, that way if you find several deserving things you can spend your saved votes, but people won't waste them.

Also the most someone could trade with a friend is 1 a day, not 20 with 20 other people.

It's getting real annoying to see members continue to make suggestions that aren't possible. The options for the rep system in the vBulletin control panel have been discussed and posted in full detail.

The idea of 1 rep a day is an interesting one. Maybe instead of 5 and 50 the numbers could be set to 1 and 7, I would have no problem with that, but that is still tweaking the system, in fact that's about as close as you can get to removing the system without removing it.

There also aren't enough people who have voted yet, it could be that many don't know what is going on here. I suggest changing the title of this thread to "Poll: Rep System".

That's a good idea, some might not have known what it was about, I changed the title. Also added the following to the front page to help people identify what can actually be done:

If the number if reps which can be given out per day is reduced below the number it was in the past, that makes anyone else with a high rep a super-god, no one will ever approach their score again, not anyone new anyway. By the way EE, I bow to your ear fetish video's, now I'm ruined, have to get an ear massage.
